Everyday, they placed a towel on the bed arranging it to look like a cute animal.

I wonder if this is a dog….

This one might be elephant.

Hoolock

This is elephant. Then what was the last one?

Hmmm…what is this?

* 20 February, Tuesday~28 February, Wednesday
The Ocean of Gratitude Cruise

Finally, today is the first day of the eight –day trip to Caribbean. At the port of Fort Lauderdale located in northern Miami, the ship CARNIVAL LEGEND was waiting for us. As the picture below shows, it was a gorgeous gigantic ship that loaded two thousands of guests and nine hundreds of workers.

This is our cabin. It has ocean view and powerful hot shower. Fabulous!

Of course, there’s casino inside and they open all night. How much did I lose?
The answer is...................so so

The deck on the top.

The hallway is very long. It seemed to be about 200 meters.

By the way, my wife never played gambling, not even once.

Dinner on board
There were a great number of restaurants and bars. We could not see all of them.

They had a sushi stand and it was pretty good.

At restaurants, they entertained us every night with their dance and songs. The dance looked weird to me but my wife and our interpreter/Hado instructor, Tomoko enjoyed very much with them.
Tomoko's website:http://whataparadise.org/gratitude.html

My son, Hiromasa sang enthusiastically at Karaoke

And his father.

This cruise trip is named as GRATITUDE TO OCEAN. Women who have beautiful heart realized this project through website without the aim of profit but with the theme of appreciation for water. To my surprise, about one hundred and twenty people attended this trip. At first night, we had the Love and Gratitude ceremony for water.

Water before Love&Gratitude ceremony

Water crystal before Love&Gratitude ceremony

Love&Gratitude ceremony

Water after Love&Gratitude ceremony

Water crystal after Love&Gratitude ceremony

Ms. Carol organized this project.

I gave three seminars there. Everyone looked very happy since we had plenty of time for the seminars this time. About ten people came to have interests in Hado instructor and we could see each other again at next Hado School (Tucson, Arizona).

My seminar
Gigantic water drop appears at the center on the right hand side of the picture.

The first landing site, Panama
Before entering to the famous Panama Canal, we stopped by one tribe who still has traditional way of life on the island located in lake.
This boat brought us to the island.

When we arrived at a small harbor, people were waiting to welcome us.

All twenty-eight of the residents danced to welcome us.

I also joined their dancing circle.

Baby is staring at my wife’s face with mystified eyes. I wonder what this baby is thinking about…

Their houses.

Then we went to the Panama Canal, which we have been looking forward to. Right my behind is Caribbean Sea and behind of that is the Pacific Ocean. The width between these two oceans is 80 km.

The width of the canal was smaller than I thought. A huge cargo boat is passing through in front of me.

Its stern is also passing through right in front of me.

Then a water gate in front of us started closing. After this, seawater started pouring and the water started pushing up our ship. This is because of the difference in altitude between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Amazing technology of human wisdom adjusts this difference.

On that evening, we left the Panama port where was a station for cruising ship. I felt a little bit lonely since there was nobody to see us off…

Many ships were waiting at the Panama port to enter in.

We were planning to land in Costa Rica next day but some trouble with a guest occurred. We had to land in an island for tourist in Honduras and chose a course with dolphin.

As you see, they have ten of lively dolphins for tourists and we could enjoy petting them.

My wife is trying to communicate with dolphin.

We enjoyed snorkeling at a small island in Belize on the last day. My wife and son challenged it.

This is the base island for snorkeling. I enjoyed sunlight there for about two hours.

This is the true dream island.

Happy, fruitful eight days passed quickly. At the closing ceremony, we sang together and made vow to pursue peace.

The sun set in Caribbean Sea. I wish I could come here next year also.
Thank you, Ocean! May this ocean always be in happy and peace…

* February 17 2007 Yoga Treatment Seminar in Bahamas

Just like last year, the second seminar was held at 8:30pm.
This yoga training group has an instructor, Swami Sivananda and they had two hundred students from all over the world for this one week of training.
There were about 120 in attendance of my class and they listened to my lecture very earnestly until the end, although my seminar was a part of a cultural course, and was not a required class.

Anyway, the recent yoga boom has been expanding each year. I was invited to several big yoga groups in Romania, Denmark, and in the United States to give lectures. I wonder why I was invited to such places since I don’t know the first thing about yoga!

A woman in the picture below is Ms. Shama, who is a courtesy counter for us at this seminar. She is a British and has experience studying in Japan for two years when she was younger. She said she was drawn to the Asuka culture in Nara era.

I asked her, “Why are people into yoga recently?”
“We now have an amenity of life in material terms but we became poor in spiritual terms inversely. So this is the phenomenon involving those who realize this point, I also am one of those people, and are trying to shorten the gap”, she answered.

I see. That makes sense.
In Japan, if you talked about yoga ten years ago, you might have been asked if you were a member of Aum. However, there was a trend already in the United States back then. Groups like the Omega Institute started setting up one after another now.

Of course, it looks like the yoga boom is coming in Japan too unlike ten years ago. I hope this is true.

Picture of my seminar
Elders were sitting in the front and listening to my lecture with intense faces. But they started laughing at my jokes soon. Relief…

* February 15 2007 Arriving and resting at Bahamas

On the 13th, I moved to Orlando and joined my wife who left Japan 10 days after I left. My son, Hiromasa has been taking care of me so far while I’ve been here. But it’s hard to say it was a perfect arrangement since I’m reserved about being taken care of by my son and he is shy about taking care of his father.

I waited at the Orlando airport for her for two hours since the flight from Washington D.C. was delayed due to snow. I had a feeling of restlessness, worrying about her as always while I was waiting. I guess making her travel by herself is not a good idea for my mental health. But I cannot help it since she recently started feeling she’d like to stay at home as much as she can.

She finally showed up out of the exit. I wanted to hug her and kiss her but lost my timing so had to put it on hold. Well, I’m glad she arrived in safe anyway.

We stayed at a hotel inside of the airport and came to Bahamas yesterday.

As you can see in the picture below, the beautiful cobalt blue ocean and white sand in Bahamas that I visited one year ago welcomed us as always.

This picture shows a huge gorgeous cruise ship arriving in port. We are also are invited on a one week Caribbean cruise starting on the 20th, where I will be featured as a lecturer. I wonder if our ship is also big like this. I’m very much looking forward to it.

Of course, I came to Bahamas for my work. Seminars are planned out at a local yoga center on the 17th and 18th. I decided to take a break since I arrived here two days early.

Sea gulls were playing on the beach.

Nassau, the capital of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, is one of the ports for Caribbean cruise ships.
Vessels come into harbor as the picture below shows. They can anchor six vessels at full capacity.

This is the hotel that we are staying at. It’s the same Hilton Hotel that we stayed at last year.

* 12 February, Sunday Melbourne (Florida) Seminar

After HADO instructor school, I gave a lecture at a local unity church without taking any break. The organizer was, of course, a local instructor, Ms. Colleen. The conference room was filled with 250 people and we had a very good time in this lecture. (The interpreter was Ms. Kimiko Miyazawa)

There were many elderly persons because of the character of the locality. They laughed at my joke and there were continuous bursts of laughter. I received a standing ovation as you see in the picture above and there was a long line for my autograph after the lecture. I felt very happy about this lecture.
I really appreciate Ms. Colleen, HADO instructor who organized this event.

I mean, there were not local people at all at a HADO school in Melbourne in Florida, although I came here just for this. When I started wondering why I came to Florida, she brought people together in a short time. Thanks to her effort, I could deliver my Hado message to them and feel their warm reaction.

It will be easier for me in the near future since I can expect more than 170 HADO instructors all over the world to support my schedule laconically.

* 8 February, Wednesday~11, Saturday
The 8th HADO Instructor School in Melbourne (Florida)

Melbourne in Florida is about one hour away from the Disney World or the Orland airport, which became famous recently for love-triangle scandal involving astronauts. The 8th HADO instructor school was held at a waterfront hotel Hilton.

The conference room is inside of this Hilton Hotel.

The school turned out to be a small group consisted of seven new members and seven alumni since we decided about this school just one and half months ago and there was not much time to announce. The reception was held at a waterfront house as the picture below.

The first lecture was focused on resonance using sound.
I explained about the origin of my name. My last name is “Emoto “ and “E” means “ river” and “moto” means “origin”.
In Sanskrit, river is called NADA, origin is called PRANA.
When I explained that NADA PRANA, which is Emoto means SOUND in Sanskrit, everybody looked “Make sense!”

The second lecture was given by Dr. Kate, new chairperson of Hado Membership Association. People loved her stories about water as a water scientist.

Thirdly, Mr. Hans Swindler, developer of HADO Astorea.
He told us leading-edge story about biological subtle energy and its detecting method.

Next speaker was President Hazaka from IHM. He talked about facilitating business using water crystal photographs and Hado technologies. We were deeply touched by his life story saying that a pinch is actually a chance.

Following speaker was Ms. Lyn Harding, executive director of IWLF, who was debutant at this seminar. She talked about how we can connect activities of Hado instructor with business.

At the second night, we had a fellowship banquet as always. It’s truly fun time since everybody enjoys the moment as one.
I sang “Love Is A Many-Splendored Thing” loudly there and someone who was staying at the hotel joked with me about this saying “You were singing loudly last night, weren’t you??”.

Mr. Rasmos from a research institute in Liechtenstein showed us images, which honors memory of Maria Callas, released at the New York Metropolitan Theater for fifteen minutes. Those were arranged by an artist from Swarovski based on the video of water crystal exposed to a song of Maria Callas.
They were profoundly beautiful. Those images will be released in Paris, London, and in Tokyo.

Master Matsumura, the 37th resident priest at Shotoku temple in Nagoya, is now our popular lecturer at HADO School. He told us about similarity between Hado and Tantric Buddhism.

Zazen, seated meditation, was instructed by Master Matsumura early in the morning.(1)

Same as above (2)

Although we had only seven new members, two out of them were from the Middle East. I felt very happy with this internationality in this school.

The 8th school ended safely and successfully after we prayed for world peace toward ocean under Master Matsumura’s lead.
Our next school is planned in Tucson, Arizona in April 25th.

* February 7 2007 The Second IWLF Board Meeting

The Second IWLF (INTERNATIONAL WATER FOR LIFE FOUNDATION) Board Meeting was held at a conference room at my hotel.

The picture below shows myself and Mr. Ron Kato, who is a board member.

He is a second generation of Japanese American and we’ve known each other since he interpreted for me when I had the first seminar tour in America three years ago. He uses two languages perfectly since both Japanese and English are both his mother tongues. Besides that, he understands about Hado very well and has wonderful human qualities as well. He’s been a director since this foundation was
set up, since he is an absolutely necessary person to me.

The lady on the right side in the picture below is Ms. Kate who was recommended as a director at this time.
Ms. Kate became a chairperson of the International Hado Instructor at the end of last year. She lives in Wyoming and has a Native American strain in her blood. She is not only a great activist but also a water researcher and scientist with a doctorate.

In the picture below, on the left of Ms. Kate is Ms. Lyn. They are both Hado instructors and they get along very well. They are both dependable, good supporters and promoters of my activities. As was expected, my message is more likely to be understood by women. It seems like inevitably women play important roles in this organization.

There were no distinguished changes last year since the IWLF was just set up. However, 20,000 of copies of EMOTO project book were published last fall and distributed smoothly and we received good responses. This produced good results. The director reported that we could expect quite a bit of spread and publishing of the book this year and Spanish and German version would be published in addition to Japanese and English version.

Particularly, the number of Hado instructors who support this project in full scale increased to 170 in 20 countries. This indicates that we could expect a rapid growth from now on. We closed the meeting with conclusion that we would like to promote this project on a new note.

* February 6 2007 In Oklahoma City

We’re here in Oklahoma City since last night to attend the board meeting for the IWLF. Mr. Suzuki, international department manager of Rissho Kosei-kai, visited me at my hotel this morning with six other people.
The picture below shows our breakfast meeting.
I have been linked by fate with the Rissho Kosei-kai. They ran an article from an interview in our newsletter and I was also invited to several lectures at their local churches. However, I did not know they had a church in the United States too. In fact, they have eighteen branches in the states.

After the breakfast meeting, we went to a school to attend a seminar, which Ms. Lyn Harding, who is a bureau chief of the IWLF had arranged in advance. The school is located in a suburb, on a ranch, and is remodeled from a huge farmhouse. It has about sixty students.
It’s like an American version of a so-called Steiner school.
I talked here for about one hour to explain how important it is to speak beautiful words, and illustrated this by showing water crystal photographs.
The students and about twenty of their parents, were all in agreement and listened very earnestly to my lecture with excitement. So I really enjoyed talking there.
After the lecture, the students gave me an origami gift that they had made in advance and also they sang some Japanese school songs. The two hours cleaned my mind and passed by like a wave of enjoyment.

One boy came to me on his way out. He looked in my eyes and said “Thank you very much for the wonderful story. It was the most touching story of all stories that I’ve ever heard. I’ll never forget what I heard today.” He had tears in his eyes. I was too touched to say anything but “Thank you,” while holding his hand firmly.

It was the moment that I felt really good about the idea and practice of the EMOTO project.

This picture shows Lyn Harding on my right side, the school principle on my left side, and the next to the principle is her Japanese friend who has been in the town for forty years. She is an artist -- a painter.

In the evening, Ms. Lyn Harding threw a party for us at her house.

The conference over the phone had been planned out with Dr. Dean from the Noetic Science research institute.

Dr. Dean is a world eminent scientist who is examining “conscious energy” scientifically. I’ve had two opportunities to meet him in the past. In the past he scientifically examined the change in the water that was in his office in San Francisco while I was at the same time sending my prayer from Tokyo, during the second IWLF Tokyo meeting that was held in November 2005.

Dr. Dean is now researching the change in various things including water when it receives consciousness from human beings. Today, his experiment on chocolate succeeded and he will announce the result of the experiment in a scholarly journal.

I thanked him and promised to send him some chocolate, which is his favorite, from Japan.

* February 4 2007 Seminar at Agape Church

The Agape church is located in Culver City in Los Angeles County and is very unique church. It could be called a holistic church centered in gospel since it does not make any distinction according to people’s religion or denomination. The eminent pastor Michael drew me into his sermon and about 1000 good Americans come to this church every Sunday.

With help from Amy, a Hado instructor, I gave my lecture at 2:30 in this church. The theme of the lecture was centered on children as a promotion of the Emoto project.

Unfortunately, today was Super Bowl day and because I didn’t have enough time to prepare for the lecture, I was worried about how many people would come to the lecture. However, there were about 300 parents with their children on that day and also there was a choir, so it turned out to be very fun meeting.

My friend, Alan Rubik also came and played the piano for the children.

Children listening to his playing while playing in front of the stage.

I showed them some crystal photographs that were exposed to children’s songs, which I had prepared in Japan.

They were very happy with the beauty of the photographs and I received a big ovation.
When I gave away some children’s books after the lecture, there was a long queue asking for my autograph. I could not help feeling great joy.

* February 2 2007 A warm welcome!

I arrived safely in Los Angeles, the first seminar stop for this current tour.

Ms. Ikuyo Koinuma (a Hado instructor in Los Angeles) and her daughter were waiting to welcome me at the airport. I was deeply touched as always.

After I took a short break at my hotel, I had a very good Korean dinner in Koreatown in Los Angeles with Ms.Koinuma, her two daughters, one grandson, and my son and his wife.

I feel very happy to be able to relax with dinner in a family atmosphere immediately after arriving in a foreign country.

I feel like I can take the rigors of this tour, although it will be a long one.
