Since August 25. 2003

Dec 2004 < Jan 2005> Feb 2005

I will be in the US from February 4th till the 26th for another of my seminar tour. I will be starting the tour at a symposium in Santa Monica. As usual, I'm going to be passing through Europe on the way to the US. I will be having a short break at my daughter’s place in Amsterdam. We planned our travel this way because my wife and I wanted to see our grandson. He is such an adorable child; we could not miss the chance to see him on the way to the US.

So off I go!

A special guest came to visit today, a Korean movie director, Kang Je-gyu. I rented out his movies, Shuri and Brotherhood the day before to prepare for his visit. Shuri was not the kind of movie I usually watch but Brotherhood was very impressive. I was surprised at the movie’s high quality. I was convinced that the current popularity of Korean movies and dramas in Japan is not just a consequence of the Korean trend.

Brotherhood was shown last spring and about 13,000,000people in Korea went to a theater to see it. It was a record in Korea. This meant that about 30% of all Korean population watched this movie. This is a very impressive record and is a proof that the Korean movie industry is advancing in its quality. On top of that, the movie’s theme revolved around the love and care of two brothers during the Korean War, a theme that must have been somewhat of a taboo until then.

The director of such a prominent movie was actually quiet and modest 42 year old man when I met him. The reason why he came to visit me was because he read the Korean version of my book, “Hidden Message in Water” and requested to meet the author. I was in a good mood because of that and including the dinner, I talked on and on for the total of 5 hours. There were a lot I wanted to ask the director but… I realized that a good movie director is someone that is good at listening, someone that can bring out the best in an actor or a movie staff. There are a lot I have to learn from him.

With Kang Je-gyu, the director of Shuri and Brotherhood

I am so happy to know that more information about the crystals and Hado are reaching so many people through the American movie, What the Bleep Do We Know!? and the Japanese movie, Stone Age (Bungakuza’s Tetsu Shiratori is the director) that is currently in the making.

* Sunday, Jan. 23, 2005 At Tesshou Hanaoka’s exhibition

I went to an exhibition by a traditional Japanese painter named Tesshou Hanaoka at Ginza Matsuya with my wife last Sunday. Mr. Hanaoka has been a member of International Hado Membership from the beginning and was a professor at ShoutokuUniversity at that time. He has been to my office a few times and we did a few interviews together as well.

However, I have been quite busy for about the last five years and was not able to attend his last couple of exhibitions. I had finally had time to see him at this one.

With Tesshou Hanaoka

I was always fond of his paintings but this exhibition reinforced that fondness. He seemed to have advanced in his painting skills and convinced me that he has entered the level of “masters” of this art.

The exhibition started with fire as a theme, and ended with the theme, water. As suspected, I liked the water painting the best. Mr. Hanaoka admitted, “I like the water painting the best as well. I guess we end up where we feel the most comfortable.”

We promised each other that we will have an interview on the Hado magazine very soon as I left the exhibition. Today, I received a letter from him that I would like to share here along with my favorite water painting.

A letter from Tesshou Hanaoka

The snow that has buried the trees in the garden
is sparkling beautifully as the sun shines down.
The blue shadows of birds chirping on the branch
are dancing on the shining snow.
I feel the beginning of a new year in this clear light.

I am happy to know that even with your busy schedule,
you and your wife are doing well.

I show my greatest appreciation for
your presence at my exhibition the other day.

I am truly looking forward to seeing you in March
to talk about the relationship between
a person, nature, and universe.

You have been given a very important role from above in this current era.
I pray for your health,
which becomes important in the process of playing this role.

As for Mrs. Emoto,
Your life and encounters in this life
is not something that comes along often within your numerous life stages.
I pray that you continue supporting your husband by his side and work together.

Sincerely yours,

January, 2005
In hopes for a beautiful true earth,
Tesshou Hanaoka

* Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005 A letter from Indonesia

I received a letter from a person that recently ordered a crystal picture of a music piece by Bruckner. He currently works on an educational program in Indonesia. He talks about the earthquake and how prayers are important in a time like this. I was very moved by the content of the letter so with a permission from him, I would like to share it with you here.

Dear Mr. Masaru Emoto,

Hello, I am the person that has asked for a crystal photograph of Bruckner earlier. Thank you very much for that.

I am currently working in Indonesia on a joint project with the Indonesian educational department. The project sites are all in Java so none of the affiliated personals here were directly affected by the earthquake.

The interesting thing is that the island of Java did not feel the effect of the earthquake at all. I even heard about the disaster from my family through e-mail. In the beginning, I thought it was not a big deal but as more news of the devastation and damage came in, we realized that the situation was very serious. We are all at the loss of words while witnessing the death toll rising everyday.

We were especially saddened to know that one of our project staff’s family living in Sumatra’s Aceh, had been hard hit by the disaster.

Her three uncles are dead, one of her sisters had to amputate her leg and the other sister cannot speak.

Also, two young children (aged 6 and 9) were missing, but one was found recently. A family in Aceh was taking care of the child. From the psychological shock and the fact that the child was surrounded by unfamiliar people, he was not able to speak for a while.

The family finally found out his name a few days ago. One of the family members that this child was staying with went all the way to Medan and found a leaflet with the child’s picture on it. The child was finally returned to home after that. We are praying now that the other child will be found very soon.

I have read your message about prayers. I truly believe that it is at times like this that prayers from all over the world has the power to save the earth. All the people that are affected by the disaster are all being supported by the prayers through water.

Of course, material and financial aid is important. But without any love in it, it is not enough. And love can be received through prayers.

I have a friend that used to work for an orphanage in Africa. One day, a gang of guerilla moved in and kidnapped about 20 children there. The people that knew how bad situations are in Africa all said “give up, there’s no hope”. However, the students and professors at my school all got together in Japan and prayed in solidarity. We started to organize activities in Japan to raise awareness of the situation. However, that did not go too well since people in Japan do not feel that the problems in Africa has any direct impact to them.

However, the children returned to the orphanage safely after a few weeks. They were all alive and well.

“It’s a miracle”, people said.

Children in a situation like this probably have never received so many prayers from so many people all over the world.

Of course, I do not deny that there were other factors that helped bring these children back.

However, from this incident, I learnt the importance of prayers and having hope.

It is not unusual to see images of dead children or half decomposed bodies on TV here in Indonesia at this moment.

There are many people that are overwhelmed by sadness and sock. We still need prayers to receive these people’s tears. The children of the “Tsunami Era” are increasing. We need to keep up with the action and prayers.

What you are doing is definitely giving positive Hado to the people. I am probably not the one to thank you but I still wanted to say “thank you” through this message.

* Monday, Jan. 17, 2005 January 17th

Today was a very significant day so I woke up at four thirty in the morning. Today was the day that the devastating earthquake in Kobe occurred ten years ago. Today also was the day that the earthquake shook the grounds of Northridge, California a year before that. And today was the day that the Gulf War started in 1991.

I live in a 19th floor of a condominium built right by the Gulf of Tokyo. The view is spectacular and the sunrise is beautiful when the sky is clear.

I stood on my balcony at around five thirty and started praying with all my heart. It was still dark and cold but I prayed. I had to; because I thought I heard the sound of the earth rumbling loudly around me and was pounding in my ears.

The time became 5:46, the time that the Kobe earthquake occurred 10 years ago. I prayed harder for the 6000 lives that were lost that day as the sun rose and another day started without any incident.

However, that rumbling of the earth before the sunrise was very odd. I have never heard or experienced anything like that before. I just have to believe that the prayer calmed the earth down.

* Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005 La Vie’s New Year’s Party

I went to a new year’s party at Nakano Sunplaza that was thrown by a health magazine called La Vie today. Since the January 2005 edition of the magazine was the 418th edition, the magazine has been in print for at least 35 years. The president of the company, Hiromichi Hagiwara, is 12 years older than I and was the first person that approved my Hado technology.

When the magazine was still called “Shin Eiyou”, I had written a series of articles regarding MRA and Hado technology. The series went on for over a year. When the series was finished, Mr. Hagiwara compiled it in a book called “Prelude to the Hado Era” and published it from his company, Sun Road. The book expressed a totally new concept but with the help from Yukiko Funai who mentioning my work in his book, my book ended up as a bestseller. The book is now in its 13th edition.

I used to spend time with Mr. Hagiwara often, going to China together, traveling through Japan, and most of all, sharing drinks at his home town, Nakano. However, since I have become very busy recently, I have not had time to see him as often as I wish.

However, finally found time to see him today. I brought my wife and Hazaka general manager for the party. Mr. Hagiwara had always been like a father to me. I just hope we can work together again soon.

With Hiromichi Hagiwara

By the way, the book, “Prelude to the Hado Era” is still in print. I would recommend it to anyone that is interested in Hado.

I, Masaru Emoto, have decided to go on a seminar tour to the American, Asian, European, African, and Australian continents as well as all the prefecture capitals in Japan from February 4th to November 16th. (Please refer to the schedule below) This decision is based on my current concerns for the world and my sincere hope that the humanity will shift their way towards peace.

To be honest, I do admit that the schedule is crazy. I am not that young anymore as I will turn 62 years old this year. I have been diagnosed with diabetes 25 years ago and still have not gotten over that. I was in the hospital for about a week last June because of cerebral infarction as well. And recently, I have trouble with my left eye because of retinopathy and cannot see very well. Therefore, I can’t even drive a car right now.

In another word, I am diabetic and sick. In reality, I may only have energy to do some essay writings in between my rest. However, whether because of Hado water or not, I am full of energy and am ready to meet the crazy schedule coming my way. I have to do this because I deeply feel that people around the world need me, and also because our earth is in a worse state than my sick self. I have received the remedy of curing this earth from water. I have the responsibility of spreading that message. My determination is strong; I will do this even if I have to end up in a hospital.

I ask all of you therefore, to spread the word and bring as many people as possible to my seminar in order for each of us to be a drop in a river of world peace.

I learnt recently that the urgent message that I sent out on December 29th last year had spread through different parts of the world. I have been receiving countless replies from overseas friends as well as organizations that I have not heard of that they have received my message. Also, when you search on the web with the subject, “masaru emoto tsunami”, the number of hits you get are increasing as days go by. In Google for example, the number of hits is totaling to 185 as of today. The message is not only in English but in Spanish, German, French, Italian, and more.

This has become something like a gentle tsunami of love and gratitude. There must be great many people, probably over ten thousand, which have heard my message and delivered their positive hado (vibration) in prayers to the affected areas.

Because of this, there currently has not been any disastrous outbreak of infectious disease even after two weeks since the incident. However, the hado that we send does not last forever. The negative hado is continually overwhelming the areas. There must be countless people that are feeling great sadness, anger, and desperation in the process of trying to recover from the sudden and devastating event. That is why we need to continually send a positive, supporting hado.

So let’s keep on giving prayers of love and thanks to the water in the Tsunami affected areas. I would like to ask for your prayers at least for another month.

Here is how I communicate and pray:

I am sorry that we made you angry water. I will never make you go through that again.
Those of us that are currently sending you the hado of love and gratitude know this fact.
Therefore, I say this from the bottom of my heart.
Thank you all the time. I love you. Thank you.

* Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005New Year Greeting

To all the friends in the world, happy New Year. I give my sincerest prayer that this year will be full of hope for all of you and that I promise that I will give all my energy in trying to lead the world to become a place full of hope. In doing so, I would like to ask each and every one of you to take personal responsibility in giving some thoughts and actions for the peace on earth.

30 minutes after taking the above picture.
The sun will always rise to shine down on the earth

I’m sorry to have to start out the year with a negative thought but we are currently in a dire situation. The earthquake off Sumatra and the tsunami has been disastrous and has taken over 150,000 lives so far. The WHO has predicted an epidemic of infectious disease in which I responded with an urgent message on December 29th. Luckily, many people had heard my request and have sent their prayers and the energy of love and gratitude to the tsunami affected areas. I would like to express my deepest gratitude here to all the people that have taken their time to send their thoughts. Thank you very much.

I believe that this mass prayer will reduce the spread of the infectious disease or even eradicate it entirely. I am also hoping that the coming donor’s conference by the world leaders will be a meeting of humanity with positive hado where we will all learn to trust each other again. For that reason, I ask you to keep on praying for these areas with prayers of love and thanks.

I also received a message to all of you from Miranda, whom I mentioned in earlier entry. Here is the message as well as a picture of her and her dog, Whisper.

As I write this message to introduce myself to you, I am awed by the synchronous forces that have brought my work to the attention of Dr. Masaru Emoto at this moment in time. And I am honored to be asked by him to share this work with you on his site.

I came into this life with enhanced capacities for seeing the invisible and hearing the inaudible.Like Dr. Emoto, I have long listened to the messages conveyed by water for the reflections it provides on human consciousness.

Today, all of us around the globe are endeavoring to understand the meaning behind the enormous waves of water that suddenly washed away the lives and land of thousands upon thousands of people at the close of 2004. Why did this event occur? What can we do to help those most affected by it? And how did the animals escape the onslaught?

Many of those who have contacted me since the disaster are baffled by the enormous loss of human life without a similar loss of animal life. Such a disparity challenges our long-held assumption of superiority over Earth’s non-human inhabitants. It also alerts us to the need to recover our innate capacity to hear that which no instrument can yet detect.

Animal Communication as a Form of Disaster Preparedness

Everyone has heard tales of animals warning human beings of impending disasters. In my practice, I have had many opportunities to serve as a ‘translator’ so that humans could receive the warnings their animal companions were endeavoring to give them through their seemingly inexplicable behavior.

All of us are born with the ability to learn any language, to communicate freely with animals, to hear the silent voices of invisible guides and playmates, and to read messages in the movements of the elements. However, in non-indigenous Western cultures, most of us learn to restrict the bandwidth of our communications to the people in our immediate environment. We, thus, lose an essential survival skill that is now more important than ever in this time of sudden and dramatic Earth changes.

I was fortunate in being born to parents who had dedicated their lives to exploring realms of reality and ways of knowing outside the normal range of human perception. I am grateful now that they encouraged my unusual sensitivities and talents – although these abilities did not always feel like ‘gifts’ to me.

I spent my early adulthood as a professional musician. But my life path was unexpectedly altered by an auto accident that led to the loss of my hearing and the extraordinary amplification of my intuitive gifts. I then devoted myself exclusively to using my gifts to help people access the wisdom within and around them in order to resolve their conflicts and realize their reason for being.

Canine Radar

It was Radar, my first Hearing Service Dog, who reminded me that one of the most accessible sources of insight available to us can be retrieved through a deeper conversation with the animals who share our lives. My counseling practice thus expanded to include the facilitation of communications between humans and their animals.

I also began teaching a way of being that I call Harmonious Listening™. Through the processes we share in my workshops and the energy activations that occur in the participants, students find they are able to rebuild or strengthen the bridge of communication that allows them to live in greater harmony with the natural world.

Disaster Relief

Even those who function without the aid of their intuition recognize the capacity of animals to offer physical and psychological comfort and aid to human beings. My beloved companion and current Hearing Service Dog, Whisper, and I are both trained and certified as crisis counselors. She has been an invaluable partner in the work we have done to support victims of various disasters, including ColumbineHigh School after the massacres, Los Alamos, New Mexico during the fires, and on site at Ground Zero during the recovery from 9/11.

But in the face of the current oceanic calamity on the other side of the world, it is easy to feel completely overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness. I am asked many times a day, “What can we do – in addition to donating money – to help the thousands of people who are now suffering.”

I think one of the blessings of Dr. Emoto’s work is that we now have visible evidence that we actually can make a profound positive difference.Whether printed, sung, spoken or visualized, we can see the affect of intention on the structure of water at an atomic level.

The Healing Power of Compassion

Those who are most directly involved in the unprecedented tsunami disaster cannot easily escape the negative energy of fear and despair that now grips their hearts and reverberates around the globe. It is, thus, the job of those of us who live a half a world away to diligently envision positive outcomes with a relaxed firmness.

Water is the predominant element of our bodies and our planet, and we share a single ocean of consciousness. This means that we create even as we speak. So once in the morning when you get up and once before you go to bed, take time to locate the joy and loving compassion within your own life and send it to those in need. Then visualize the people you saw on the evening news receiving your support. Even at an enormous distance we can help to balance the energies on Earth through the powerful effect of our focused intentions.

The prayers and blessings you transmit through your words, visualizations and with each beat of your heart will be carried on waves of love across the world at the speed of thought. And by holding a positive intention and envisioning a positive result, you will be helping to create the conditions for this current situation to be transformed into the ‘medicine’ of a more unified, compassionate world. If we continue our efforts long after the immediate need is past, then the unity initiated through our response to chaos may endure as a growing legacy of love.
