We stayed in Liechtenstein for 5 days. A while ago, Rasmus gave me a summary of his work and research, and Monica from Vienna, who studies colors, came to see it if was possible to use the crystal pictures as part of the color design for traffic safety. Also, a professor from Cairo University in Egypt, who studies the prevention of electronic waves, came to have a discussion on the matter of shapes and electronic waves. Then we went to a city in Germany called Rothenburg and inspected the mineral water company there, which took us a whole day. So a busy set of work was waiting for us again. Even though we have not yet officially announced the opening of the institute, there are already many things to be done. So after fall, I imagine that there will be many people from different countries who will visit to bring various ideas and tasks. On this occasion, Mr. Gaupp, the father of Rasmus, took us around the area where the institute is situated, and for the first time, we found out that this place is very close to the Rhine River. Then an idea flashed in my mind. This idea was, "Let's make this place the stage for this year's July 25th Project to Send Love and Thanks to the World’s Water". Last year, it took place in Israel and various ceremonies were held around the globe with it. The number of countries supposedly reached 30, and over 100 organizations took part in this project. But for this year, we had no set plan to do it in a particular location. This is because I could not think of a place which could make me say "This is the place!". However, just recently, we received several inquires asking where it would it be held this year, so I was trying to reflect on the possibilities. As you might know, the Rhine River originates in the Swiss Alps, runs across Austria, Liechtenstein, Germany, France, Holland, and ends up in the Northern Sea. It is a huge river that flows for 1,320 km, and has existed with the history of Europe for a long time. I thought that holding a ceremony that sends Love and Thanks to the world's water in Liechtenstein, which is located on the upper reaches of the stream, and putting the water in the Rhine River will surely bring resonance from people living in these areas (See the figure below). Also from the prospect of world peace, I extended this idea further. We will hold a memorial seminar at the place, and have participants bring water from their respective towns, and have people from far send water to the Liechtenstein Institute. Of course, we will mix up the water to make into one and we will all send Love and Thanks to it. Then we will put the water into the Rhine River, leaving some of it to take crystal pictures. Afterward, through different websites, we will show those pictures. I wish that everyone would participate in this project in one way or another.

Having finished the U. S. A. seminar series, my next destination was Zurich via Frankfurt. When I arrived at the airport at 8:30 am, Rasmus from the Liechtenstein Institute was waiting to greet us with a smile. To the institute, it is 1 and half hour drive, and as I noted earlier in the diary entry on March 22nd, it is situated in a perfect location where it is surrounding by the Pre-Alps.
I would like to introduce what I wrote for the publication in Germany on why and how I built this institute on this land, and the goals that we want to achieve. Regarding the

Having successfully completed the seminar tour over 24 days across the US, my wife and I took only a day off on the 9th yesterday to look round New York. First we went to see the Broadway Musical that my wife had been anxious for. They were showing a famous revival of the "42nd Street". The lead actress was Shirley Jones whom I used to see in the movies (such as Elmer Gantry and Oklahoma!) when I was still a young man. We were also lucky with our seats, in the third row from the front; the best position to enjoy a powerful musical that gives us an impact just like we feel from looking at a picture of a musical. We saw it right in front of us and we were so content. It was short two hours and a half.
After the movie, we went to the Empire State Building as my wife who loves height had hoped to visit. As we were lifted for about 60 seconds by elevator, we were in the world above the clouds and looking down below we could see the skyscrapers. Remembering a scene of a movie, "An Affair to Remember" that we watched like crazy (a wonderful love story with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr: a scene that they promise to meet each other again in one year on the top of the Empire State Building, but Deborah Kerr has a car accident right before the building and cannot come), we looked down to see New York City in the gathering dusk.
Then we saw on a guide map the spot that indicates where the World Trade Center used to be. Its dignified appearance could be remembered even on the map for us to miss the big beautiful building. We remembered the image shown on the TV screen of the event and we were overcome by strange feelings of reality that it was not just a dream. We prayed for the spirits of thousands of victims in the event and thought that the seminars that had been held till yesterday could have given some consolation to them. Then we looked a little to the right and came into our sights the UN building. I pledged myself to give a lecture in that building next time when I come to New York. Till then good-bye New York !! |

York Seminar (Part 3)
|
I presented the seminar according to the revised seminar menu that I especially planned for this day. The content is as follows. First of all, I came up to the stage, raised my hand, looked at the hall and whispered, "There are so many people here. The people in Japan will not believe me, so I'll take pictures to show them". I took out a camera and took two shots of the audience from the stage with flashes. This is what I do every time I go to a new place, but because Japanese people are known for their fondness for photos worldwide, this always makes the audience amused. As I expected, an explosion of laughter occurred. With this, the distance between me and the viewers disappears.
Of course, it was through an interpreter, but I talked passionately for 90 minutes on these topics. I never talked with such enthusiasm as this time. I believe that the feeling that I wanted to heal as much people as possible who suffered 9.11, made me so. When I finished talking, bowed, and raised my head, there were many of my good comrades who continuously gave me a round of applause.
As I glanced, my wife who was operating the computer also rose and applauded me. I found something shining on her cheeks. When I saw that, there was something from my eyes that started to flow and I was dazed. Even after the seminar, the excitement still did not cease for many, so they remained and talked passionately to each other. People were crowding towards me to take picture, get autographs, and shake hands. I was impressed by how people looked very happy. ***** After this U.S.A. tour, I felt a strong response for peace. I was determined that "Yes, this is all good". I will keep my confidence and walk around countries of the world where they want me. I will accept people’s heart across the globe and pass on this collective feeling to water. This will lead to form pictures of the crystals as a blue print in order to create a truly enjoyable, happy world of reality. |

Signing autographs has never been a pain, but a fun for me, since I enjoy talking to people face to face and shaking hands while I do the autographs. From these little conversations that I have, I can truly understand what people felt about our seminar. What I most commonly heard was "Thank you for doing a great job (in giving us the realization)". Also, people told me "Thank you for giving us hope". Both are very nice words that make me happy. In the meantime, the presenter came and told me that he wanted to start the seminar. When I glanced at the clock, it was already 6:10 pm. I hurriedly came out of the crowd, and looked around the hall with amazement. The first floor was all filled and there were people of the second floor as well. In my mind, I cried "Yes!" and gave a big high five to myself as I moved towards the front. There were many people who filled the gap between the stage and the seats. My wife was there and told me, "We got a gorgeous bouquet from Ms. Yoko Ono, so let's take a picture with it". I said "O.K." and at the moment I started walking towards the stage where the bouquet was, I tripped on something and fell on the floor. My glasses few away, and I hit my forehead hard on the carpet. There were so many people that I couldn't recognize a little step near me. I completely fell down shouting "Ah! Auch!!", but only a few people near me recognized what has happened. It was that crowded. I sat on a chair for a while as my wife patted my head, and fortunately, I only got a bruised forehead and the pain soon eased away. Since I was young, my head was tough (because I played rugby when I was a student and fell down with tackles many times). The photograph below is a picture that I took right after the fall. But , I trip a lot nowadays. It seems that my lower body is getting a little weak (though it is better to trip here than at work or in private).
The seminar started 5 minutes after that. First of all, starting with Dr. Hurhak, 5 speakers greeted the audience, talked about my work and elaborated on the connection with their fields of studies. Out of all, what moved me the most was that the elder of the Hopi tribe, Mr. Vernon Masayesva, who held the Flagstaff seminar on April 28th, came to do a speech in our seminar. Some people said that it is probably the first time he ever done such thing. My theory on the cycle of water is very similar to that of the Hopi tribe, and Mr. Masayesva said that our idea on Shintoism is also similar to what Hopi people believe. I feel that we have been real brothers in our previous lives.
Also, we had music and a ceremony of purifying water performed by the natives, which created a great atmosphere before my talk. Many people kept coming so when I came up on the stage at 8:00 pm, there were people standing on the first floor and most of the seats were completely filled. I whispered "Thank you, god" in amidst of a big applause, and this time, I went up to the stage while watching my footstep. To be continued... |

York Seminar (Part 1)
|
Now, today is the last day in this series of seminars and the New York seminar is the main event of all. At 11:00 am, we left the hotel in Sparta, New Jersey where we had lectures the day before and we headed to Manhattan, New York with Ms. Naoko Campbell's car (who organized the lectures in Albany, Sparta, and New York).
Since it was Saturday, there was no traffic, so we arrived at the
Hotel Kitano and checked in. What could this mean? I couldn't believe this to be a mere coincidence. I believe that god heard my wish for planning this seminar, which was to give hope and courage to the New Yorkers who still experience pain from 9.11. So when I saw the number in front of the room, I felt my body shiver. I had no time to ponder deeply upon this touching moment as we headed to a Japanese restaurant on Broadway to have lunch with a party of people. The president of the Academy for Future Science, Dr. Hurtak, and 4 other people who are involved in United Nations and Water Project were present, and we had a nice conversation as we ate our meal. I later heard that a group of honorable people gathered for our lunch. At 3:00 pm, we had guests at our hotel, which ended in 30 minutes, and we went to our room to revise the themes of our seminar for today. We had a tight schedule until the last moment, and we ended up getting to the place past 5:00 pm. Our seminar was arranged to start from 6:00 pm, so were supposed to be there at 4:30 pm. The hall was in an old church that was right in the center of the city. Nonetheless, with seats on the second floor, it almost seemed like a theater. As a matter of fact, it is often used as a meeting place as well. The place could hold 1000 people so judging from tickets sold in advance (which were about 400), we expected several empty seats. But, I thought that the place would be filled. The trend of this lecture series so far has shown that there are numerous tickets sold on the day of the seminar. It is like the tsunami (tidal wave) phenomenon. What started off as small waves get bigger and bigger as they reach the shore. Probably people hear good rumors about the seminars from the previous towns that we visited. From 5:30 pm, an autograph session for the two newly published books "Messages from Water VOL 3" and "Hidden Messages from Water" started. The latter book is an English version of the Japanese book, "Water Knows the Answer", which is sold from BEYOND WORD cooperation in Portland, Oregon starting from April 9th. The CEO of this cooperation, Cynthia, came all the way to New York to do campaigns and sell my books with so much of effort and enthusiasm, so I suggested doing an autograph session before the seminar, which was not planned beforehand. In no time, a queue for the autograph session started to form, and I kept on signing and signing the books in the middle of a big crowd. Actually I wonder how many books I signed on this trip. People like the stamp of 'Love and Thanks' that comes with my autograph, so it seems that the number of people who want my autograph doubled as I started to use this stamp. To be continued... |
■ Friday, May 7, 2004 Seminar
in Sparta, New Jersey
|
Jane-san drove us to the venue which was two hours away from her house. We picked up Yoshie-san on the way to Sparta. We met Yoshie-san for the first time yesterday. We did not have an interpreter for the seminar today and the arrangement was that I had to speak in English. Yoshie-san heard it when we met at the get-together yesterday and offered a support. I was impudent enough to ask her and even accept her offer for free.
The venue was a small church in the town for a capacity of 100 people at most and it got full soon. With the support, I managed to talk till the end in my poor English. Of course I was helped many times during my talk. Now I completed 12 seminars and finally I am left with a seminar in New York tomorrow. I hope to bring this to a successful conclusion. So far, however, I hear only about 400 people have registered for the venue of a 1,000 capacity, which worries me a little. I pray to God and Buddha! |
■ Thursday, May 6, 2004 Seminar
in Albany, New York
|
In my mind, the ideal finale of this US seminar tour was New York. However, until the last minutes, I had not even had a seminar scheduled for New York. What should I have done? I had only one month left before I leave for the US. And, all of sudden, I had three seminars in New York State, including one in New York City waiting for me. The organizer of the seminars was Ms. Yasuko Canbel, a Japanese lady living in New Jersey and married to an American gentleman. She came to my office in Tokyo a few months ago to offer me her help with my US tour. However, things have not been working out that smoothly until just before the tour when we started to receive an offer and assistance one after the other. Albany is a state capital located
upstate New York, two-hour drive from New York City. The city is
green trimmed
residential town and
a totally different place from what we expect from the sound of
New York. The seminar in Albany was organized by Jane-san. She retired
as a nurse a few years ago and just started her healing practice.
We stayed with her at her house. But what a huge space she's got.
The
premises spread as wide as 33 acres and there was a clear and abundant
creek running through the site, eventually pouring into the Hudson
River.
I could not be less interested in the price of the 150 year-old 8-bedroom house build prewar. She told me the price was very reasonable. With plenty of hand remaining, it seems you can still afford a house like hers in the U.S. With a support from the network of local nurses, the seminar at the clubhouse of nurse association was a big success. At the seminar, I coincidentally met three Japanese-American couples: still young Yoshie-san and her American husband who is an artist, Mr. Sato, a photographer, and his American wife, and Mr. Gray, a pilot and a musician, and his Japanese wife. After the seminar, we had drinks at a bar of hotel near the seminar site and developed cross-cultural friendship. Recently, I see more Japanese in the audience when I have a seminar overseas and it is wonderful. Through communication with them, I can grasp the culture of the city and the country much more quickly and I appreciate it. Until 6 months ago, I always felt disappointed that I could not draw more Japanese living in the foreign country. Now I feel much more released. |
■ Tuesday, May 4, 2004 Minnesota
seminar
|
I knew little about Minnesota. Though what I knew about Minnesota was only the song of Teruko Akatsuki, "I am an egg salesclerk in Minnesota", but one thousand people came to stranger's seminar today!
This seminar in Minnesota was organized by an ordinary housewife, Ms. Terry, who was driven by her enthusiasm on water crystals. The book "Message from Water" changed her life. Her first contact with the book was two years ago. Her 14-year-old daughter was also fascinated by the beauty of the water crystals, and she got a prize for her picture of water crystals. The other day, Ms. Terry wrote to me. I was pleased with her letter and replied immediately. Then, she started to act.
Her son works in China. When she was planning to see her son, at that time SARS was prevailing there, so they got to meet each other in Japan. In such a way, in the last summer, she came to Japan and visited to my laboratory. I was absent then because I was in my trip to Europe, but my secretary dealt with her. She was impressed by our research and went back to America. She left a message for me, "I would like Mr. Emoto to give a seminar in Minnesota". Her message moved me. I don't know why, but her message was the most impressive for me. Then, I started to plan the tour to America. As a result, I got a successful seminar, which got 1000 audiences. What happened? I will explain about it from the beginning.
Sunday, May 2 -- I went to Minneapolis from Dallas. There, I met Ms. Terry for the first time. Then I went to my rest house immediately. On the way, I heard that the names 'Minnesota' and 'Minneapolis' are derived from water (Minne). I understood why I was attracted these places. In the rest house, there were classrooms and apartment for the people of alternative healthcare. Ms. Terry, her friends, and Qigong teachers and students had a dinner party together there. Ms. Terry's friends, Ms. Dian and Ms. Sharon, were very powerful women.
Monday, May 3 -- I went to a suburban primary school in the morning. I was let into the classroom of the third grade pupils. I was surprised by a message for me on the blackboard, "Welcome Dr. Emoto", which was written in Japanese. What was more surprising was the excellent experiments performed by the pupils. For rice or plants, they showed and let them listen the words. The results of these experiments were completely consistent with our experiments, which we introduced in "Message from Water". As a greeting, I gave a short seminar for about 10 minutes. I talked about the importance of words, and the pupils enthusiastically listened to me. Then, they asked me very important questions. I was really impressed by them, and I suppose some of them will be excellent researchers of water.
My visit to the primary school was broadcasted in the evening. At the same time, in the TV program, the information about the seminar on May 4 was also broadcasted. I guess this increased the number of the attendances of that seminar. Then, I went to Ms. Sharon's house in the outskirt with Ms. Terry and Ms. Dian. The house had a back garden, which faced a big lake (I heard that there were 12,000 lakes in Minnesota). Ms. Sharon introduced her family to me. Her husband was a producer of acoustic instruments for these who have acoustic disorder. He knew much about wave, and his talk was interesting to me. Ms. Sharon put a healing on me. Tuesday, May 4 -- The day of the seminar. I was invited to a kind of club in the center of the city for lunch. There we had a meeting of women's association. I got active questions and I was interested in them. Wednesday, May 5 -- At 11 a.m., there was a ceremony to pray for water around the lake nearby. About 40 people attended it. There were also native Indians.
Then, I visited a primary school in the city. The school was for the primary students who want to be astronauts in their future. I was surprised to know that there existed such a kind of school. The principal himself guided me in the school. He said many times, "It is very exciting to invite you here, Dr. Emoto". I was delighted with his words very much. I hope we have such a considerate principal in Japan. I had a short seminar in front of more than 500 pupils. It was pressure for me to talk in front of the children.
Later, I went to Minnesota University to have a meeting with the professors of department of psychosomatic medicine. This university is famous for its school of medicine, but it has a department of alternative medicine such as Eastern medicine. The university seemed to be opened to complementary medicine. In the night, another group invited me to a dinner party. This trip in Minnesota was well planned. I got to know later that the plan was planned not only by Ms. Terry, but Ms. Dian and Ms. Sharon's mother cooperated with her. The plan was successful, so they decided to establish NPO. They said that they want to deal with the problem with education through the concepts of ‘water’. To my surprise, they formally offered to me that they establish a research institute of water crystals. They are such powerful people, so they could gather 1000 attendances in my seminar, I suppose. I must accept this power of housewives. If the plan goes right along, a research institute in Minnesota will be established in this year. By the way, I recalled that Minnesota is called 'the refrigerator of America'. So it might be natural that we have our first institute there. |
■ Saturday, May 1, 2004 Mr.
Matthew Anderson
|
In Dallas, I met a friend that I hadn't seen for over 6 or 7 years. His name is Matthew Anderson, who lives in the state of Utah (Picture). My wife and I have been acquainted with him for more than 15 years. Our relation started at the exhibition of health that we first attended. A guy who spoke awkward Japanese came up to our booth in order to find an agency to sell the natural mineral liquid from Salt Lake. I felt his good nature, so we listened to his quick description and told him to come to our office for more details. That person was Mr. Anderson. He came to Japan at a young age to spread Mormon beliefs. As he taught English as a teacher, he fell in love with a Japanese lady and got married. So he spoke Japanese, and went to the exhibition of health at Makuhari Messe to find an agency for his family business. As a result, it seemed that I was the only one that got in contact with him, so our company started to import and sell products from his company. We have also visited the company that his family runs in Ogden, Utah. But at that time, the regulations on imported products by the Ministry of Health and Welfare were very strict. So even though Trace Mineral Cooperation had good products of supplements, we only sold Trace Mineral liquids. Later, I got busy with the business relating to Hado, so I handed the job onto CEO of the Green Heart Cooperation, Mr. Oda, and since then, I had no direct association with Mr. Anderson's company. Mr. Oda put a lot of effort into this project, and he frequently went to the Ministry of Health and Welfare a lot times until he finally obtained the permission to import the supplements from his company. This is how the official sale of the products began. For a meeting, Mr. Oda visited Mr. Anderson's company just at the same time I was around. They came all the way to Texas, Dallas and spend a night there. And to say the least, they listened intently to the seminar. Not to forget, Mr. Oda helped us out with many things, and I deeply appreciate it. Thank you very much. So over the years, Matthew seemed to have gained a few pounds, but other than that, he looked just fine without much of a change. Four of his kids also seem to be sound and well. We had a lot of fun at a nearby Sushi restaurant and celebrated my wife's birthday there. Matthew wrote me an email just a while ago, telling me that he wants to set up projects for seminars in Canada. He seemed to have enjoyed the content of the seminar and I am happy about that. |
