■ Friday, April 30, 2004 Dallas Seminar

Dallas is located in the central Texas and it is known that J. F. Kennedy was assassinated and it is also the President Bush's home state. It is a very conservative town. Being a peace advocate like myself, I never imagined I would be invited to have a seminar here.
It was two years ago when I was first invited by Felicia and Tony, a very lovely couple in Dallas. I was introduced to them by my friend Ralph, a water researcher, who came to my seminar in Los Angeles three years ago and stayed at the New Otani Hotel where I was also staying and we have been friends since then. Felicia and Tony offered to host my seminar in Dallas, so I flew to Dallas and had a very successful seminar here after I completed a seminar tour for Canada.

With Felicia and Tony

This is why I selected Dallas as one of the seminar locations when I planned the US seminar tour this time. It was a smaller turnout than we expected (due to the forecast of the heavy storm and the media advisory to stay indoors and we even experienced a hailstorm). However, when I finished the seminar, I received a standing ovation and was overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of the Texans.
I was also very impressed by a group of people who came to the seminar, wearing a beautiful T-shirts with Japanese Kanji characters "Love" and "Gratitude " and the idea was based on my books (as shown in the picture). The idea of the T-shirts came from Ms. Seto, a Japanese-American lady (who is English speaking). She attended a gathering the next day and gave me a donation, expressing the gratitude for the work I do. This is the first time I ever received donations and gracefully accepted it. I felt very honored.

Today was my wife's birthday. On my birthday last year, I was at Telaviv in Israel, having a seminar there and the audience celebrated my 60th birthday. I shared the audience here about my wife's birthday and about 250 attendees gave her the warm applause. We will continue our journey and appreciate that our audience celebrates us as we travel around the world.

■ Wednesday, April 28, 2004 Flagstaff Seminar

Flagstaff is a mountain town in northern Arizona, 2000 meters above sea level. It is only 45 minutes from the Grand Canyon. The Black Mesa Committee of the Hopi tribe hosted my seminar at the Northern Arizona University Auditorium. I didn't know what "black mesa" meant until I arrived here. I noticed many places named "So-and-so Mesa." Depending on the geological condition, the mesas may look red, green, or black. Iron, copper, and coal are the minerals creating these colors respectively.
At Black Mesa, Hopi people are campaigning against the government over water use. The government is pumping the underground water from the area where the Hopis live. A large amount of water is used everyday to mine, grind and carry coal. Vernon, an elder Hopi, said to me that the Hopis have considered water with great importance. There are many stories relating to water in Hopi folklore. To my surprise, Vernon also pointed out that the philosophy in those stories is similar to what I wrote in "The Message from Water." That's why he came all the way to Japan to invite me to Arizona.
I think that the circulatory nature of water is important. Therefore I am against pumping the water with motors. It will result in various kinds of damage to the environment. When there is water at a location, there is a reason whey it is there. Forcefully changing the location of it in great volume is totally against mother nature.
As part of its campaign against the government's water administration policies, the committee invited me to give a lecture. I was greeted with several welcoming events before the lecture. According to Ms. Naoko Robinson, the interpreter, they do not usually host such events for outsiders like myself. They even gave me a pendant which seems very precious (see the picture below).

Many years ago, I was told by someone who can see previous lives, "Mr. Emoto, you were once a master of water in the time of Lemuria, Atlantis, Maya and Native Indians." I started to believe it since I have experienced enough coincidences.
Before the lecture, Vernon told me Hopi legends for two hours. It was deep and interesting. I will write about it in "Hado" monthly magazine.

■ Tuesday, April 27, 2004 Sedona Seminar

Continuing from yesterday, Ms. Ruth took us first to the house of Ms. Walker, the organizer of the seminar. Ms. Walker is a single lady who moved to this house only two years ago. It is maybe because she is getting ready to establish a kindergarten; the supporters came to her house to help her one after another. This, I believe, represents her personality that allows her to have settled down in the new community quite easily within a short period. Thanks to her network of connections, the seminar was successful; 280 seats were sold out quickly and believe it or not 100 people could not enter and had to go home.
Sedona is a town where live a lot of spiritual people and people who like arts. In fact, this is one of the towns that I cannot forget. About twelve years ago when I visited this town for the first time, I learned the 'Cloud erasing game' from Mr. Nagano, the president of the Irimajiri Oil Company in Kochi prefecture who was traveling with me then This became my first actual experience with the relation between words and water and gave an influence to my work with water later on.
To the venue filled with people came Mr. William Arntz, the movie maker. I asked him to come on to the stage to give a greeting speech to everyone. Many of them in the venue had not known about the movie, so when he introduced the scene with my crystal and some episodes behind the movie-making, the audience roared "Wow!" which elevated the atmosphere of the lecture hall.

With the movie maker, Mr. William Arntz

Mr. William Arntz and I discussed the release of this movie in Japan. They have applied for the Tokyo film festival in October but other than that they have not done anything. I was asked for support in many aspects and of course I was happy to accept it. Anyway we will be able to show the movie at "The Water and Peace Festival" scheduled in November (November 27 and 28 in Nihon Seinenkan). Please look forward to it.
Sedona is a highland town with beautiful scenery and good Hado. Please enjoy some pictures attached.

■ Monday, April 26, 2004 From Los Angeles to Arizona

In the midst of hectic schedule of this cross continental US seminar tour, I cannot even have a time for my diary duty. It is already in the afternoon of the 30th and I am writing this diary sitting on the seat of rather cramped airplane flying from Phoenix to Dallas. To the readers of my diary, I have to apologize for my irregular writing schedule.
Regarding Mrs. Miranda, a blind lady I met at the Los Angeles seminar, and her guide dog, I am planning to revisit them in the US and write a book about it. We have a thing in common. I try to make invisible world visible and they try to listen to inaudible sound. For example, Whisper feels the vibration of crystals projected on the screen and communicates the vibration to his master. If I have a crystal slide show for them again, I am certain that I will have another discovery.

*****

At Phoenix airport, Ms. Ruth Joy was waiting for us. I knew her since she came to Japan to see me in Japan. She came to our project held on July 25the in of delicate our love and appreciation to water of the world. She is a serious supporter of mine.

Ms. Ruth (Right) and Ms. Walker (Left)

Arizona seminar will be held on the 27th in Sedona, a famous place among people of spiritual society and on the 28th in Flagstaff, a town where many Hope people are living. The start of these seminars goes always back to about 11 month ago, June of 2003. The elder of Hope tribe contacted me through Mr. Nemoto of my company to see me. I agreed with the meeting right away. I wanted to meet a person with an American Indian heritage.
On September 19th, 3 months later, it became a reality. Accompanied by Mrs. Naoko Robinson, an interpreter, he came to my office with his wife. I wanted to express my welcome using all my body, from head to foot. But, I wonder how I did in their eyes. I am afraid I could not meet their expectation. However, they left a word of invitation. They asked me to visit Northern Arizona University in Arizona State.
To keep the promise with them was one of my purposes of this seminar tour. I think I could keep the promise by having seminars at Sedona and Flagstaff. Well, I have finished the seminars and now writing a diary on the plane. You want to know how the seminars went, don't you?

A Hopi elder, Vernon Masayesva

Now the plane is arriving at Dallas airport, my next destination. So, folks, this story will continue to my tomorrow's diary.

■ Sunday, April 25, 2004 Los Angeles Seminar

After two hour flight from snowy Denver, Colorado, I arrived at Los Angeles on a summer-like day. At the Los Angeles airport, Mr. Tatsuo Ide, an entrepreneurial dental technician, who had been supportive at my previous seminar, and Ms. Natsuko Sakai, a translator of my website diary, were there to greet me.

Right: Mr. Ide, Left: Ms. Sakai

This is my fourth seminar in Los Angeles, and this time, the seminar was held in Torrance (Holiday Inn Torrance), which is a large city and has a substantial Japanese population.

In Los Angeles seminar, there were similar phenomena as in San Francisco. There were many seats unsold until a week before the seminar. Ms. Sakai, co-organizer of the seminar seemed frustrated, however as the seminar date approached, many people called in and came to the event. Eventually three hundred came to my seminar. There were not too many people who knew about the film yet, but it seemed the spirit of hado is strong in Los Angeles. I was pleased to discover that my books were in demand and more than two hundred books flew off the tables that day.

Seminar location with full of people

At the seminar, there was an unexpected guest. There was a lovely lady who sat in the front row and a very smart looking dog beside her. At first, I thought the dog was a seeing-eye guide dog, however, I soon found out that it was a hearing assistance dog. During the three-hour seminar, the dog was very well behaved and loyally by her side. Since I love dogs very much, I thought that I would like to meet them after the seminar to ask her about her companion.

Miranda and her hearing assistance dog Whisper

I was happy to have my wish granted. After the seminar, several of us were able to have dinner together. She told me very moving stories. It's almost the time to check out the hotel, and I will tell you more tomorrow.

■ Saturday, April 24, 2004 Denver Seminar
In the diary in April 22, I wrote, "I felt something great started moving". But it turned out to be wishful thinking. The organizers of our seminar in Denver provided us a hotel's party room, which can accommodate 500 people, however, only 10 % of the capacity, in other words, 50 people came to that seminar. You may wonder why. To tell you the truth, there have been much snow around the site for three days, and many of the roots to the site were closed. Many people cancelled their attendance. I complained, "Why is there snow in late April!". But I heard that Denver is located as high as the fifth station of Mt. Fuji, and it is not unusual to have snow in that season.
Actually, the hotel stood in a vast highland solely. There was no other building around the hotel. It takes more than 1 or 2 hours drive to come to the hotel from another place. To make matters worse, almost all of roots were closed. Though I know that we cannot act against nature, I was shocked by this incident, as my activity was in ascending condition. I suppose that God still provide me a lot of studies. I must pull myself together again.
By the way, I could give a very good seminar as usual. Since there was no Japanese, and there were not so many people, I gave a presentation in English. Of course I got some help from my interpreter, but I barely completed my presentation. I was convinced that I have done well because after my seminar 50 volumes of "Message from water Vol. 3" and "Hidden messages in water" were sold. Usually, if the 30 % of attendance buy a book, it indicates the success of a seminar. In this case, 50 people bought 100 books, so the index is 200 %.
I suppose that they reworded me for my effort to give a presentation and make myself understood in clumsy English. I thank everyone who bought my books.
■ Thursday, April 22, 2004 San Francisco Seminar

As a matter of fact, we were staying at Ms. Koinuma's place for two nights. She was the organizer for the seminars in San Francisco. It was the day we arrived when we started to get many calls regarding the seminar. But up till then, there were only signups for about 150 people. Then from yesterday onwards, Ms. Koinuma has been preoccupied in trying to deal with all the calls, but the number kept increasing. There was only one phone line and one person to receive the call, so it seemed like there were many people who couldn’t reach us because the phone was too busy.
That ripple spread to the hall, which was located at a hotel in the city. In response to the numerous calls he received, Mr. Hiro, the CEO of the hotel, took responsibility and changed from a room that accommodated 200 people to a room for 500 people. In the end, 300 people showed up, so I cannot image what would have happened if it wasn't for his decision.
As we generally do, we held a conference with the journalists before the seminar. We usually have 2, 3 people at the most, but there were close to 30 people this time, which surprised Mr. Hiro. There was an ambassador who came from the Japanese embassy and listened to my story with great interest. This was all arranged by the courtesy of Mr. Isamu Matuura, the CEO of the American business consultant. I don't know how many times I can thank him.
But I sense that there is something happening. We are beginning to see the mountain moving, as we say in Japan. It means that something immense is starting to stir. I feel this kind of 'hado'. I asked people in the hall about the movie, but only 6 or 7 people knew about it. Now, this is the real hundredth monkey phenomenon. It seems like the things that I have been building up as I went around the world started to take its shape and have its affect. Let's all try to raise our voice and positive thinking even more so that everyone can hear us. If we do, I feel that we can fully grip and grasp the world peace, which waiting for us just around the corner.

■ Wednesday, April 21, 2004 Open Secret Seminar
Still excited from the successful seminar the night before, we left Portland early in the morning to our next stop, San Francisco.
Seminars in San Rafael, San Francisco and Denver are organized by Mrs. Masayo Koinuma, who is older than me only by four days. Her husband took a position in the USA and brought his family with him. But he passed away 15 years ago. Mrs. Koinuma decided to stay in the US with their three daughters. Now she has become an American citizen and lives in Petaluma, near San Francisco.
I became friendly with Mrs. Koinuma only recently. Last year in February, I took a business trip to Los Angeles. She came from San Francisco to introduce me to her Polish friend, Adam (please see my journal of March 16). She later visited me in my Tokyo office and we became close ever since.
She is an expert on spirituality with broad knowledge and sensitivity. Once she finds someone who she thinks as extraordinary, she studies his/her work extensively and support it fully. For example, she is a friend of Caroline Myss, Ph.D., the author of "Anatomy of the Spirit." Thanks to Mrs. Koinuma, Dr. Myss kindly wrote a recommendation note to the US version of "Water Knows the Answers."
Another friend of Mrs. Koinuma owns a book store named "Open Secret" in San Rafael (one hour from San Francisco), where my seminar took place today. The space can hold about 100 people, but 160 people showed up. I felt sorry for many of those who had to sit on the floor or stand. Even worse, we had to turn 20 people away. According to the owner of the book store, a flood of phone calls from those who wanted to come started only yesterday. The staff had worked frantically to respond.

The movie, "What The #$&! Do We Know!?" has not been shown in this town and hardly anybody knows about it. Even the organizer was puzzled why so many people rushed in at the last minute. I am curious to see how tomorrow's San Francisco seminar will turn out.

■ Tuesday, April 20, 2004 Portland (2)

The 7:30 seminar was held in the hall (capacity of 530 people) at a large sport club that Cynthia-san is a member of. Since 100 more people came, we urgently arranged an additional room with a large screen.
Originally we were only planing an autographing session, but because a movie, "What the $#*! Do We Know ?!" became very popular in Poland, we hurried to plan this seminar. So I believe you now know how powerful that movie was. Mr. Tadashi Nagai, a Japanese consul general of Oregon State came and listened to me through the seminar, which was my first experience. Later I heard that this year was the 150th anniversary of the diplomatic relations of Japan and USA for which many events had been certified as its memorial. A series of my seminars in San Francisco and Denver had been certified by the hard work of the host, Mrs. Ikuyo Koinuma.
Two of those involved in the movie came to the seminar. One was Pavel Mikoloski, representing the movie makers, and the other was an actress who explained my crystal pictures on the platform of a subway station in the movie. I invited them to the stage during the seminar and they were happy to share with us some episodes in the movie making.

I appeared on the stage mumbling "from pentagon to hexagon" having a hexagonal star on the chest, worked through the two-our seminar, receiving thunderous applause several times to conclude on a successful note. I was then thankful when they all stood up praising me for the seminar.

■ Monday, April 19, 2004 Portland (1)

At 9:00 in the morning, Ms. Crystal came to the hotel to pick us up and we headed to Portland, Oregon on the flight at 11:00. At the airport, the chief executive officer of the publishing company of "The Hidden Messages in Water", Ms. Cynthia and the interpreter, Ms. Hosoyamada came to pick us up. Ms. Hosoyamada has been living in America for 18 years and now she works in the field of healing mainly with acupuncture. She knew Ms. Yuhi Nakano, so we asked her to be our interpreter.

With Ms. Cynthia at her garden

As we arrived at 12:30, we went straight to our first interview at the radio station. Ms. Hosoyamada prepared rice balls for our lunch, so we ate them gratefully while we were waiting for our turn at the radio station. There is nothing better than rice balls made by Japanese who live on the land.

With the host at the first radio station,
Ms. Hosoyamada in the center.

After that, we had another interview waiting for us at a different radio station. This is what I feel every time, but I like radio interviews. It is very hard to describe in words how we turn the invisible world into discernable things, but through trail and error, I start to get the knack for it. So there are many times when I get inspirations about expressions and phrases that I can use in my seminars.

At the second radio station

At both of the radio station, the hosts had deep understanding of the crystals so I had a wonderful time. Both of them already read the "Hidden Messages in Water" and asked me very good questions that I had to keep my gears on.
After that, we had more to do. The seminar was from 19:30, but we were planning an autograph session from 17:00 at the New Renaissance bookstore near the seminar hall. It went well, but there were so many people that it continued until 18:30. About 150 people were present and what's more, there were those who bought a multiple of books per person so my right hands nearly got tenosynovitis.
Among them, a woman with crutches was waiting in the long queue. It seemed as though she got hurt recently, so I was thinking, "People don't have to go through this hassle, waiting just for an autograph". But when it was her turn she asked me, "Do you remember me?" as she showed me a picture.
It was a picture from 4 years ago with the people from the Dolphin Tour in Bahamas. She was one of the members participating in it. My wife and I remembered her the next moment and we hugged each other. Having chances to reunite with people is one of the excitements in traveling around the world.

■ Sunday, April 18, 2004 Vashon Island

Today, I went to Vashon Island. It takes about 20 minutes from Seattle to the island by ferry. Ms. Korina, who came to my seminar in Vancouver a year ago, asked me to attend the meeting of the island's local community. Ms. Korina is a healer, and she heals people using a crystal.
In that island, they have many kinds of environmental pollution. The people are working against the pollution, and they know that water has basic importance in their environment. At their periodical meetings, they have ceremony to pray for water.
Today, they also had the ceremony after the three hours of talk with me. They used a crystal ball and a Didjeridu (an Aboriginal instrument similar to a Swiss horn). At the ceremony, they chorused, "I love you, water. I thank you, water. I respect you, water." These were the words that I recommended for everyone in my books and seminars.
In that island far from Japan, seeing the people chorused the words, I felt the importance of my work again and had a new understanding about my responsibility.

Today, I talked about the power of praying with hands together.

I came back to my hotel at 6:30 p.m. Mr. and Mrs. Nakamura took us to Japanese restaurant a little far from my hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Nakamura attended my seminar yesterday, so we got to know each other
and they invited me to the dinner. At the restaurant, someone informed me that the wife of the owner of the restaurant also attended my seminar, and the daughter of the owner was a fan of Message from Water. I was so delighted.

With Mr. & Mrs. Nakamura

In such a way, even in the foreign country, "Message from Water" enabled me to have enjoyable conversation and dinner. Though having a long tour is not an easy work, but such things give me joy and delight.
By the way, Mr. Nakamura is a photographer. He called himself a amateur, but I suppose he is a professional. I will introduce you his works here in some day.

■ Saturday, April 17, 2004 Seattle

Finally, we are heading for Seattle. Leaving at the Haneda Airport at 5 pm on the 16th, we are flying to Seattle, a capital of Washington State, via San Francisco. My wife is a big fun of ANA and we decided to take the airline instead of flying with the United's direct flight. ANA surely gave us a comfortable flight. In terms of food and services, they are our favorite airline.
After 14 or so hours of flight including the waiting time and transit, we arrived at Seattle airport at 3 pm on the 16th (6 hour time difference from Japan). Ms. Crystal Wendenkier from East West Bookshop, an organizer of our Seattle seminar, was waiting to meet us at the airport. What a happy coincidence that the name of the first person we met at the airport was "Crystal". We felt that the success of our seminar in Seattle was almost guaranteed.
Since we did not have any plans for the day, we had a dinner at a mall near the hotel and went to bed around 9 pm. On the first day of arrival to the U.S., I always have a hard time adjusting my inter-clock for jet lag. I can that I did not do so well again this time since I started writing this script about 2:30 am in the morning on Sunday the 18th
It was Saturday yesterday, and therefore, the seminar started at 1 pm in the afternoon. The place was the theater on campus of a community college. According to Crystal, it is a place that they usually use for seminars or other events. On campus with a plenty of parking space and beautiful with flowers and green, the theater had the best location for our seminars
Most importantly, the theater with 300 seating was packed with audience. A ticket priced at 25 dollars, equivalent to 2,700 yen, was not necessarily cheap. Since I don't want to be a financial burden to the organizers, I care about the turnout. of audience. It was a lucky head start to have the crowd of that size on the first day.

Audience of my seminar

By the way, I wrote about the movie shot in Portland, Oregon in my previous episode, I saw the positive influence in the audience. 50 out of 300 people in the audience had watched the movie before they came to the seminar. At the beginning of the seminar, I played a 3 minutes DVD (Dr. Emoto Promotional Trailer) edited for this tour. Since the majority of audience had not seen the movie, the DVD gave a good introduction to the seminar.
There was a long line at the autographing session after the seminar and the organizer was happy. I was happy as well but my right hand was a bit tired and got a bit swollen. Still, it was a joy to see that "Message from Water vol. 3" was sold out in a second.

The lady on this side is Ms. Crystal Wendenkier

After the seminar, we had an interview by local TV and radio stations. It was a busy seminar having no enough time for lunch break, but I had the satisfaction that I gave a good seminar. I enjoyed the feeling of accomplishment while having an interview from a female interviewer and answering to her questions in my broken English.

At the bookstore of the main organizer
with some other customers

I was invited to a dinner from members of Women's Association for Environment and enjoyed the discussion. Especially, they were interested in my theory regarding hemp. They promised to inform me of the International Hemp Festival held in this town every year. If you are interested in hemp, please look forward to the information.
Well, it's already 4 o'clock in the morning. Now I have to go back to bed. Let me finish my first report for my American tour.

■ Friday, April 16, 2004 Taking off to the USA! See you!

It was such a relief to hear that the three Japanese hostages were released. It has been quite an experience for all of us. I imagine that each one of us has had different opinions and emotions throughout the course of the kidnapping. Before we forget them, let's get together and talk. We would be discussing many important issues, raised by the three hostages. The three, as a result, risked their lives and brought up many big questions to the world.
Today, I am leaving for the USA. For the itinerary, please check this website's English page. The first stop is Seattle. I think by Monday Tokyo time, I will be able to send you the first report from there. As usual, I am planning to write reports everyday, provided that I get access to the Internet without problem. Please check this site often. OK, so, see you...

Just about when I was to leave, Ume-chan came running up to me, out of breath. She brought me three hexagonal badges, beautiful star shaped ones which I liked very much at a seminar titled "Calendar with Thirteen Months."

Yesterday, Nemoto-kun suggested, "Wouldn't it be nice if you wear the star when you lecture in America?" and I said, "That's a good idea." So he told Ume-chan, who kindly made the stars.
As you know, the stars in the flag of the USA are pentagons. I have been thinking that it would be better if they were hexagonal, which is a symbol of love and thanks. Now I have an insignia for the tour of the US. Thank you, Ume-chan and Nemoto-kun.
OK, now, I am off! Bye!

At present, at 2:00 pm on April 13, the three Japanese hostages who were abducted near Perugia, Iraq have not been released yet. Since it was once heard that "they would be released within 24 hours", the level of disappointment that their families had to face has been beyond what we can imagine.
Wanting to do something as a family member and wanting to take some actions, but they cannot do anything feeling so frustrated. Only thing they can do is to appear on TV that never interests them and to answer the same questions from the TV announcers. They can only repeat, "please help" reserving their true feelings like wanting to shout and scream.
Even though how seriously we analyze and criticize this situation, it does not help much. We as Japanese must take some actions as to share the pain. What would be the action? It is to "pray for love" looking toward the western sky. Many people’s pure prayer HADO would reach the cosmos, through the frequency band of love as a satellite, and make the love HADO resonate which potentially exists within the kidnappers. They will surely be awaken to Mother Love.
Let us put our hands together in prayer to the western sky. This is the picture of a crystal achieved by showing the word "praying hands".

The crystal picture of "Praying hands"

-- In hopes of safe return of the three Japanese hostages ---

I love you.
Because you are myself, brothers and birth parent.
I love you.

I would appreciate it if you email this picture to as many friends of yours as possible.

Last week I was very busy and had no time to write in the diary, so please forgive me for having written only one entry. Actually, I had dinner with guests for three nights, a group meeting in Hado workshop, and the Eight Star Seminar on Thursday night, so I got home late and had no time to get on the computer.
In amidst of all this, Mr. Maruki, the chief of Koudansha Publishing company, Mr. Niimi, my wife, and I had a dinner on Wednesday evening at a nearby Japanese restaurant. Since the DVD set produced by Koudansha Publishing Company was finally completed, we had a little gathering to celebrate this.

This DVD set is called "Message and Water Healing Message" and the contents are:

It is a very moving thing and there is no doubt that you'll be healed.
Why don't you try experiencing healing on 4 different ways? (1) The direct vibrating effect of music, (2) The aesthetic healing effect by watching the crystal images, (3) The touching effect by watching the growing images of the crystals, (4) The understanding effect through the explanations of measuring resonance.
I recommend it to you with a lot of confidence.

■ Monday, April 5, 2004 “What the $#*! Do We Know?”

Dr. Jose Arguelles' Japan Seminar Tour, held on Saturday April 3rd was very successful, and had 950 guests. This is Dr. Arguelles' eighth visit to Japan. He was pleased with his visit to Japan and promised that he could come back at least five more times (to make the total visits of thirteen times) before he departed for his next stop. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all those who attended.

The seminar concluded at 9:30 PM. As I autographed the books, one young lady said, "I was in Seattle when I saw the film that you mentioned earlier. It was very good. I don't understand English well, but enjoyed it and saw it four times."
The film, which I briefly mentioned in the column last Friday, is entitled "What the $#*! Do We Know?" Honestly, I didn't know how my work on crystals would be portrayed in the film, but I was very happy to hear positive things about it. I wanted to ask her more about details, however, the security personnel of the civic hall managed by Bunkyo-ku chased us off due to the time restrictions and I was unable to ask her more about the film.
Today, however I received a copy of DVD of this film from the producer in the U.S. I viewed it with explanation from the administration manager, Mr. Nemoto and was finally able to understand the whole content of the film. Let me share the story with you.
A leading role played by Marlee Matlin, who plays a hearing-impaired professional photographer. She was not quite happy emotionally as she was once divorced and has not overcome from the feeling that she could trust men again. She always has headache and can’t live without the aspirins. She is beautiful, but she looked despondent.

One day, she began to experience mysterious events. While walking through her town, she saw a basketball rolling on her way. She tried to ignore it but a voice of a child followed her and asked, "Why don't you pick up the ball?" She found a young African American boy standing by the basketball court on the street, who was asking her to return the ball to him. She reluctantly picked up the ball and threw it to him. However the boy threw it back to her as if he wanted her to be more serious about playing the game.

She looked upset and threw the ball back to him with more effort. However, the ball came back to her with more vigor. After a few times, he finally asked her to get into the court with him, but she was reluctant. Finally, she decided to be in a court, and the moment she entered into, some sort of barrier was developed; an image that there are two different dimensions between the field outside and inside of the court.
After she entered into the court, she played basketball, as she used to play and through his tactful direction and regained her confidence temporarily. However, when she returned to her daily life, she experienced the headache again. She was at the subway station and accidentally dropped a bottle of the aspirin on the floor. While attempting to retrieve the pills, her train left without her. She was annoyed and looked up the other side of the platform and saw my water crystal photographs were displayed.
The panel on the wall said "Message from Water" and there were six of the large panels with water crystal photographs. There was a lady standing by, explaining about the pictures to the people. "These photographs were taken by the research institute of a Japanese water researcher, Dr. Masaru Emoto. This is the photograph of the water crystal after the prayer was offered, this is the water which was exposed to the word 'Thank you'..." Explanations followed the photograph of water exposed to the chi of Love (by Mr. Funai), and next to it was a photograph of the water crystal exposed to the word 'You make me sick, I will kill you.'
Startled, she seemed entranced by the photographs. Then, an older man walked her by and said hypnotically, "If consciousness can change the crystals of water, imagine how your consciousness can change you."
After this incident, she reluctantly took a job as a photographer for a wedding. It was a difficult assignment and she became upset, which made her drink too much and act unprofessionally. She woke up with a hangover the next morning, but didn't remember anything. She then received an envelope full of photographs depicting her embarrassing behavior at the event.
She started to curse at herself in the mirror, "You are the worst." etc. She continued to do so for a while, but then she saw the water dripping from a faucet. Then the same old man appeared on the screen and said to her, "If consciousness can change the crystals of water, imagine how consciousness can change you."
The next scene showed her enjoying a bath in a tub. She was not just taking a normal bath. She was writing something with a pen on her hand. She was writing something onto her body like a tattoo. What is she drawing? She drew a lovely design of heart mark all over her body. As she completed drawing the hearts, she looked very relaxed, closed her eyes and savored the moment.
The next day, she walked down the street with confidence. She looked very beautiful and seemed like a changed person. As she walked along the river, she threw her bottle of aspirins into a trash can as if she were shooting a basketball into a hoop. When the bottle went into the trash can, the scene dissolved into another scene where she was enjoying a game of basketball.
This is the rough outline of the film. (I only saw this once and we may have missed some scenes as he explained particular scenes.) What do you think? I was very much moved by this movie. I was not just "moved," but to me, but I also wanted to cheer. Later you will find out more about why I enjoyed this excellent movie.

■ Friday, April 2, 2004 13 Lunar Calendar

After two weeks of traveling through Europe, I returned to the office on March 31st to very exciting news. The film "What the $#*! Do We Know?", in which my book "Message from Water" was referenced, premiered with much acclaim in the Oregon and Washington State area. Please visit http://www.whatthebleep.com/ for more information.

What the $#*! Do We Know?

After a little more preparation, I will share with you more details in next week's diary. For now, I can tell you that I am starting my U.S. seminar tour of twelve cities starting on April 16th in Seattle. For some reason, I feel that God arranged me a special gift for this tour.
As our website (Japanese version) shows, there is a Japan seminar tour by Dr. Jose Arguelles tomorrow.

I have met Dr. Arguelles twice in the past and have been a supporter of his vision since I first heard of this idea in 1996. We as I.H.M. Hado Fellowship are supporting to promote this event through a request from Mr. Hirohide Yanase.
Mr. Yanase walked away from a career at a very prestigious public relations firm in Japan, Dentsu, to pursue his interests. Since then, he has worked tirelessly to promote the "13 Lunar Calendar" in Japan. I am sure it will be an uphill battle, as is usually the case for new ideas, or for people who pioneer a change in ideas. As I call myself a person "who does something that nobody has done before," I would like for others who support my ideas to cheer him on. Please join us for this event tomorrow.
You may be wondering what it is? I believe that it is essential information for anybody who is living in the 21st Century. The specific topic that I will address at this event is the "13 Lunar Calendar and Gender Equality." If you are interested in gender equality issues, please also join us.
