■ Nov.30,2003 Mr. Takaaki Enoki

A member of the Takinogawa Chamber of Commerce came to my hotel at 1:00 p.m. and we headed for Takinogawa Town by car. Takinogawa is at the upper reaches of the Kakogawa River. The river is called Kakogawa already in Takinogawa Town. (TAKI means falls and GAWA or KAWA means river in Japanese.) The town is named after a scenic spot in the town center. There, the river flows over rocks and it looks like a waterfall. (Picture on the left: at Takinogawa Park)
I was asked to do an environmental seminar as part of the Takinogawa Chamber of Commerce's 35th anniversary celebration. We just celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary in Germany on November 16. I started my talk with this small coincidence and spoke eagerly about water and environment for two hours.
After I was done, I was taken to Himeji station to catch a Shinkansen (super express train). But the traffic was bad and I missed my train (Nozomi, super Shinkansen). So I took the next one, Kodama, a normal Shinkansen which brought me good luck. I got off the Kodama at Shin-Kobe and went to a waiting room until the next Nozomi arrived. There I saw the actor, Mr. Takaaki Enoki. "Hi! Long time no see!" It was almost three years since we saw each other last. (Picture on the right: with Mr. Takaaki Enoki)
I have not seen him very often but we have known each other for quite a while. I met him when I was at my old office in Gotanda, about twelve years ago. Ever since he has followed my research with interest. When "The Message from Water" was published, he mentioned it in a column written for the Yomiuri Newspaper. It was the first time that my work was ever cited in the Japanese media.
He gave my wife a wonderful calendar. It has his paintings of bridges on the Sumidagawa River. My office is in Yanagibashi, by the Sumidagawa River. He said that he comes to my neighborhood as well to take photographs and paint. (Picture on the left: Mr. Enoki' calendar) I was surprised at the calendar. I think I have a little bit of an eye for art and I thought his paintings have gotten so much better. Especially I noticed his blue, the color of water, was vividly used and looked fresh and clear, just like Mr. Enoki himself.
I was also surprised to hear that Takaaki Enoki Museum was established in Ooita prefecture. I will have a seminar in Ooita next year and I will definitely visit his museum then. I felt his wonderful Hado, as always.

■ Nov.28,2003 Arima Hot Springs

On November 28, I visited Kobe for a seminar held at Kobe Citizen’s College. I held a seminar for the previous semester, and believe it was well-received, so that I was invited back by Ms. Wakasugi, who had been leading this college for over twenty five years. My wife and I rode a Shinkansen bullet train before 9 AM. When I visited Kobe last time, I was traveling alone, however this time, I am staying at Arima Hot Springs due to the fact that I am holding another seminar in Takino-cho in Hyogo prefecture on November 30, and my wife, who loves hot springs, decided to come along with me this time.
After the seminar, we left for Arima Hot Springs, famous as Japan’s oldest hot springs, with Ms. Wakasugi, and the Executive Officer, Ms. Iwasaki, and Ms. Narukage, Editor-in-Chief, for “Monthly Hado Magazine,” who lives in Kobe.
I have only seen Arima Hot Springs on TV commercials, and my impression is that it is rather cozy. I made an observation that Arima Hot Springs is popular not only among older women, but also popular among younger women. I believe as long as it is popular among women, Arima Hot Springs will always be a destination.
That night, I decided to express myself in karaoke. I have been feeling sentimental lately, and I could not finish my favorite song, because I became weepy in the middle of the song. This may be because I was with women who could indulge me, so that the next time, I should endeavor to be among younger women.
In regards to Citizen’s College, it was an organization founded by a mathematician, Dr. Kiyoshi Oka, and it holds classes in Japan’s major cities. It used to be held at twelve cities, and currently has been continued in seven or eight cities, and the management of the classes is done by mostly women. I have been invited to do a seminar at a few locations since last year, and they have continued to have their Citizen’s College almost as their volunteer activity. Managing the College has been difficult since the bubble economy, and without their motherly dedicated love and effort, it would have been long gone by now. Ms. Wakasugi and Ms. Iwasaki have been working together for over twenty years. They both have family, but manage to oversee the college at the same time. I applaud all of the people, from all over Japan, who administer Citizen’s College.

■ Nov.27,2003 My first day at the office

After the long European seminar tour, I finally came back home last night. Because I left Japan on October 24, it’s for the first time being at home in 34 days. Tama, our beloved cat, was the one who has been longing for our, particularly my wife’s, come home the most. According to my son, who has been housesitting our apartment, Tama has been behaving quite a bit stranger than normal. She must have been so lonely. Once she catch my wife in her sight, she never tried to leave her for a minute going “mew, mew”.
Because of her, we decided to sleep in separate rooms. Tama had been cuddling up my wife all the night, occasionally licking my wife’s face. She told me that she could not sleep well since she felt like she was under watch by Tama to make sure she would never be away again. Although it is always the case, Tama’s unfair attachment to my wife does not make me any happier. I have been treating Tama as nicely as my wife has. (Photo on the right is Tama).
From the next day, I went to the office to work for the first time in many days. From 10 am, I gathered my employees and talked about my trip. From there, a hectic schedule followed. From 11 am, we had a preview of our videotapes performed by the video company, at 12 noon, we had a guest from Swiss land, at 1:30 pm, we had an internal meeting, from 3 pm, I had a briefing by our company tax accountant regarding our annual financial statement, from 4:30, we had a directors’ meeting, and from 7 pm, a small talk show at Amrta Bar in Nishi Azabu. We arrived at our apartment a little past 11 pm. As soon as we’ve got home, Tama rushed to us going “mew, mew” again. Her voice sounded like blaming, “You are late!”
By the introduction of Mr. Maruki of Kodansha Publishers, Ltd, we have been having a photo exhibition from November 1 using the interior walls of the Amrta Bar. I decided to present a brief talk show of one and half hour as the closing event. It is always a wonder to me that no matter how much tired I am, as soon as I start talking about water and crystals, I am up. May be it is because all the water in my body is supporting me. 50 people in the session seemed to be satisfied. It was very memorable that two ladies, one from the U.S. and the other from France, were listening the show in a very engaging manner to the end.

■ Nov.24,2003 Barcelona

In the original schedule, I went through all the schedules in Europe yesterday and I'm going back to Japan today. However, about 10 days ago, my Spanish publisher told me that they got ready to publish my book. They asked me to adjust my schedule and spare them time even though for one day because a female columnist of the influential local newspaper offered them an interview with me.
Then, I made a hasty flight from London to Barcelona, which took only about 2 hours. I feel happy in Barcelona, because though I have been here for only 8 hours, I have already got no less than 7 jolly events.
1. My book in Spanish was very good.
2. The publisher Mr. Rodriguez is a nice guy. I got cotton to him.

3. At last I made a long-cherished visit to Sagrada Familia. It was fantastic. I’ll report about it in more detail later.

4. An old lady Ms. Maria Rose came to my hotel to see me. She lives in an old town Girona, which is 100 km away from Barcelona. She came to Barcelona all the way from Girona to see me. She requested me a seminar in the next year. As she lives in venerable house made in 15th century, to my surprise, she invited me there for the seminar. She is an enthusiastic fan of the pictures of water crystals. She looks at the pictures almost daily, sometimes finds new aspects of water crystals, and tells the new findings to her neighbors. She also told me the secret of water crystals, which I didn’t know. I’ll tell you her findings some day. (Right: Ms. Maria Rose is on the right, Ms. Marta in the center.)
5. I heard that in Barcelona they have a big exposition from May to September in 2004 and the authorities are planning to hold an exhibition and a symposium of the pictures of water crystals in this expo. They asked me my attendance in advance. 6. In Barcelona, there was a pro-Japanese artist. She can speak Japanese well, then she got very familiar with my wife. Her name is Ms. Marta, and she is very amiable person.
7. They took me to a seafood restaurant “Seven gates”, which is about 150 years old. I found all the dishes delicious. Wines were also tasty. For me, there is no problem with Spanish food culture. (This is the most important thing.)
■ Nov.23,2003 London Workshop

On the following day, thirty participants attended the early morning London Workshop, which almost reached its cap in spite of the rather pricey registration fee of 150 pounds (27,000 yen). Our sponsor represented the flower essence industry and most of the participants were alternative medicine practitioners. They were very serious and asked me some very interesting questions. Consequently, this workshop was a learning experience for me as well.
Among the participants was a gentleman from Nigeria (in Africa), whom I wonder how he found my seminar. His name is Mr. Tony, who traveled six hours to attend this workshop. After the seminar, he proposed to me that he would like to study in Japan next year. His goal was to be a sole agent in Nigeria for Hado technologies, including Hado measuring equipments.
There was another man from France, who proposed to develop the crystal photo technology for children, and he asked to become my apprentice, and even showed me the blueprints for his plan.
Finally, there was a young British man who also indicated interest in studying this technology in Japan.
I am very flattered to receive these offers; however the question to be answered is how we could accept any of these offers because of the language barriers. Upon my return, I shall consult my staff on this matter.

■ Nov.22,2003 London Seminar

Rain had been falling on London, as is usual, since this morning. Yesterday I was busy with interviews from newspapers like The Daily Miller, but I did not have anything scheduled until the seminar this evening, so I used the time to relax.
Approximately 150 attendees came for the 7 PM London Seminar and I was interviewed twice at the seminar site, which I hope will raise more attentions for my future seminars. (The picture in the right is from the London seminar.)
What made me the happiest on this occasion was a special visitor, my grandson Riku, who attended my seminar for the first time with his family. Only nine months old, my grandson came all the way from Netherlands to see me at the seminar, and I consider myself a very lucky grandfather. Of course, he was sleeping through most of the time, and couldn’t comprehend the discussion, but I believe he will remember the atmosphere at some deeper, intuitive level. The picture shows my grandson, playing on stage after the seminar. Someday he may have seminars like his grandfather.

■ Nov.20,2003 Demonstration in London

In spite of Mr. Bush’s visit to London, the Airport was in order and we have arrived at the hotel on the Piccadilly Street on schedule. It was such a quick flight from Amsterdam. As I always feel, countries in Europe are so close to each other. It may be only the ocean giving the U.K. the privilege of being its own way.
On this trip, I am with my daughter’s family. My daughter is working as my agent for the last three years on the Netherlands. She is running a company named Hado Publishing, wholly invested by my wife, in addition to a role as a housewife. Now, Hado Publishing is my frontline base in Europe. Asked by a flower remedy company, my daughter’s company published the full English translation of Message from Water and has been marketing the book in the U.K.
This seminar tour was a request of the flower remedy company and the company is a client of my daughter. We made an annual visit to the company with her husband and her baby.
Rittchan, a friend of my daughter all way back to her technical school days, came to our hotel and tour-guided us during this trip. She used to come visit us to our house in Urayasu. She has been in London for 5 years and is studying an antique business.
With Rittchan, we were heading for a china town to have a dinner , walking along the Piccadilly Street. “Nee naa, nee naa.” All the sudden, a number of police cars appeared in front of us ringing sirens. While, I was thinking, “it must be a protest for Mr. Bush”, a band of bicycle police, instead of mounted police, had just appeared. About 200 bicycle polices had formed arrays and come to a dead halt. In a second, they formed a wall by bicycles. They protected protesters in the demonstration while blocking them at the same time. It was such skillful movements. I felt as if I were watching a bicycle show and was inclined to applaud.
After the grade, a demonstration of protesters followed. Holding a placard, they walked crying out “Go home Bush. Against America,” or “Stop the war.” Amid the bustle, I could not stop tears keep filling my eyes, because I was feeling oneness with the young ladies seriously crying out for peace in the demonstration.
From a poll in a newspaper of the next day, I learned that not all the U.K. citizens were pro America.

■ Nov.17,2003 German TV show

Mr. Konrad took me to "Fliege", a production studio of TV programs, by his car. We left Augsburg and headed for the studio in Munich. We had planned my appearance on German TV show for a year, and finally it was realized at that time.
A producer Mr. Fliege has rectorship as his original job, on the other hand, for a long time he has been producing his own TV show, which is named "Fliege". Produced by the minister, the program often deals with serious topics and is very popular among housewives.
"Water" was the topic at that time. The guests included a famous person as a water authority, a healer, a minister, a researcher of water, and me. I was a main guest. Before being on camera, I got heavy makeup and felt strange... (Left: Before the TV appearance. I got heavy makeup.)
The talk and questions to me were simultaneously interpreted to Japanese and I listened to them through my earphones, while my comments were translated and announced to the whole studio.(Right: The studio. The left is Mr. Fliege.)
One of the guests was an actress, who I met at Hado symposium one year ago. (Left: With the actress appeared on TV together. She is my good supporter.)
The actress is my fan. She strongly sympathizes with the pictures of water crystals and deeply understand that water can read the characters and is affected by the characters which it contacts. She introduced this concept to a venerable glass maker (Spegelau, a great glass maker. Since 1521) and succeeded to commercialize that concept. (Lower right: The commercialized glasses. There are assortments of glasses printed "Thank", "Peace", "Hope", "Thought", "Luck" and "Love" on their surface. The words are printed in Japanese, English, French and German.)
I heard that the "Fliege show" will be broadcasted in Nov. 25. I talked much about "Water tells story" in the Fliege show, which has about 1.2 million viewers. I expect that my appearance on TV will pull up the earnings of KOHA Verlag GmbH (Mr. Konrad's company, the publisher of "Water tells story").

Eight hundred people attended the First Hado Symposium in Augsburg last year. Attendance declined to two hundred this year. As compared to the last year's success, this year seems a big failure. The organizers, Mr. Konrad and Mr. Bauer thought that it was mainly because the German economy is slowing down. The enrollment fee was 100 Euro (approx. 120 US dollars). However, I see it differently. I think that our work of crystallized water has expanded its fan base to the point that we are reaching the saturation point. We now need to make a transition to where the people are not only receiving information but taking part in some kind of action. This symposium will not last otherwise.
I also think that all lecturers will need to have a common theme. The same thing is happening in Japan and we really need to work in that direction. When we host this kind of event in the future, we will need to create a space where people can exchange their energy with one another on a practical level. Participants shouldn't be passive but actually participate.
I saw many familiar faces from last year. For them, too, I really want this symposium to last for long time. The picture shows Ms. Manuela from Eichstatt. She hosted my seminar last year and attracted a large audience of six hundred in a little town of Eichstatt. The event was a great success. Only a week ago, in the same town, she was hosting a seminar with Rupert Sheldrake, Ph.D. and of course, his seminar was also successful. We agreed to do another seminar in Nuremberg next year.
By the way, today is our 35th wedding anniversary. I didn't mean to sound forward, but I spoke about it to the audience and received a big round of applause. I married my wife when I was 25. Thirty five years seems like a long time but at the same time, it passed quickly, to use a cliche. I cannot be happier that the two of us are traveling together all over the world. The longer we can keep doing this, the closer our world is to achieving peace. I hope to continue our travels for another 15 years, that is, until when we celebrate our 50th golden wedding anniversary. Typically in Japanese, we say, wife follows husband, but in our case, I follow her around the world. Your continued support will be greatly appreciated.

■ Nov.15,2003 Sightseeing in Salzburg

As you all know, Salzburg is the place where Mozart was born. I am a big fun of Mozart. Therefore, I was excited in coming to this city. I did not have a time for sightseeing in Wien. However, I asked Ms. Burgi to spare me a half-day for sightseeing in Salzburg.

Ms. Burgi arranged me a tour guide, Ms. Akiko. She is a veteran guide, having been living in Salzburg for 36 years. To my luck, she is familiar with spirituality subjects and has been a fun of me for a long time. Therefore, we could enjoy conversation during the tour.

She told me that Salzburg was the shooting place of the movie that influenced me great deal over lifetime. “Yes, this is it! Why didn’t I remember it sooner?” I was almost screaming when I found it out. This was the place where the story of The Sound of Music was born and the movie was made.
If I remember correctly, I was a university sophomore when the movie came to Japan. I can’t remember how many time I have seen the movie and sung the songs from the movie: Do-Re-Mi, Climb Ev'ry Mountain, The Sound of Music, and Sixteen Going on Seventeen, and etc. At sixty, I am still the same way. If you have the same feeling, let’s enjoy the pictures together.

■ Nov.14,2003 Wien/Salzburg Seminar

The organizer of Wien and Salzburg seminars was Ms. Burgi, a beautiful blonde lady. She has been a director of Prana Energy Feeling in Austria for the last 10 years and has taught 4,000 people in Austria alone.
Thanks to her accomplishment as a teacher, we draw more-than-ever audience of 1,500 people and 1,300 people in Wien and Salzburg respectively. She was such an unassuming person and gave me all the credit saying, “How come so many people have come to the seminars? It must be your popularity.” I think it was her personality that attracted this sizable crowd. All her assistants seemed to respect her like his or her mother. I was reassured that it was her greatness to be able to become the center of this circle of conformity.
The Salzburg seminar was held at the multi-purpose gymnasium in its suburb. When the seminar was about to start, dense fog started to close down. I thought the nymphs of water came to listen my speech. It was their unstated testimony that the fog is gone when the seminar was up. After all it was a beautiful moon night.

The morning in Vienna began with a full schedule. As such, the timetable didn’t permit me to indulge in the festivities of the night before. At 10 AM, I was interviewed on a local radio station, and the questions were thoughtful and intriguing, so that in spite of my halting English, the two hours spent in the radio station’s studio seemed to fly by.
Afterwards, I met with two color therapists, who proposed using color coordination for the prevention of traffic accidents. They believe that traffic accidents, such as one that occurred in Austria two years ago in a tunnel, could have been prevented to some extent if the road lanes were painted in specific colors. They plan to host an international symposium in Vienna next year on this subject and asked for my participation, which I intend to plan and prepare for next year.
Ms. Burgi, my Viennese hostess, invited me to have a Japanese lunch. When we arrived I noted that the tables were occupied by what were apparently local people. I believe that this has become more common as Japanese cuisine has gained acceptance in Austria.
When we got back to the hotel around two o’clock, there was another guest waiting for me, who was from IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency). We were supposed to be at the IAEA headquarter office in United Nation’s building by 2 PM, and she drove us to the UN building located near the Donau River in Vienna, when a series of amazing incidents were about to unfold.
Firstly, there was a bookstore located upstairs in the center of the plaza, where three of my books Messages from Water were on the store shelves. Further we went on the plaza, and there was a crowd with people. I wondered what they were doing, but I was just passing them by. Then all of a sudden, they welcomed me with generous applause. I was very surprised and found a small fountain in the center. In the moment, I understood the reason why.(Left picture:fountain with the theme of “Love and Thanks”/ Right picture:praying in front of the fountain)
Before I left Japan, I was told of an artist inspired by my books Messages from Water and Water knows the Answer. The artist created a fountain with the theme of “Love and Thanks,” which was placed inside of the UN building in Vienna. I was asked to visit this fountain and my secretary reminded me several times verbally and via e-mail, however, it regretfully slipped out of my mind.
The area I was invited in was IAEA building. International Atomic Energy Agency is the organization, where world atomic issues are controlled and also it is looking for a positive way of using atomic energy for peaceful utilization. What surprised me here was the fact that research on water had been done very extensively. It seems that my idea that radioactive contamination is discovered instantaneously by water has been proved by this organization. There were global collections of water, and there is standard water called zero water, which seems to be the mixture of all the water on earth. (Left picture:the collections of the water.)
At 8 PM, my seminar was held at the Austria Messe, located next to the U.N. building. As Ms. Burgi informed me earlier, there were 1,500 guests in attendance. This set the record for an audience in my seminar series. Only God knows the answer to what will happen next.

■ Nov.12,2003 Opera in Vienna

From Hanover, I flew to my next destination, Vienna. It was only a one hour flight. Ms. Burgi, a beautiful blonde woman greeted us at the airport. She is the organizer of my seminars in Austria. We had no plan other than getting here today and she gave us a wonderful gift. It was tickets to an opera, The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, conducted by Seiji Ozawa.
(Left:Ms. Burgi)
We loved the gift! I had read an article about this opera in a Japanese newspaper I bought in Basel or somewhere. It said Ozawa’s first performance of the season was a great success. I was telling my wife, “It would be great if we could go, but tickets must be sold out.” But here we are, we are going at seven o’clock tonight! We dressed a little formally and went with Mr. Burgi to the Opera House.
Ms. Burgi guided us up to the third floor. She showed our tickets to an usher, who walked a little and opened a door. Suddenly a round theater came into my view. Down in the orchestra box, musicians were each tuning their instruments. To my surprise, the royal box was right next to us on the left. Ms. Burgi got us a box right next to the royal box, not to mention that Seiji Ozawa is one of the most popular conductors of our time. The theater was completely full.
I love opera. I used to memorize and sing arias when I was in high school. “Non piu andrai“ from the Marriage of Figaro was in my repertoire. Starting with the famous overture, the three and a half hours passed like an instant.
 Thank you, Ms. Burgi.

■ Nov.11,2003 Hanover Seminar

There is a town called Hanover located about three hours drive south of Hamburg. This was the first time that I visited this town, where a noted international trade show for computers was held last year. My Hanover host was Ms. Christine, who is a high-spirited, female entrepreneur. She runs a successful bookstore specializing in spiritualism, as my host, Mr. Jurgen, in Hamburg does.
(Left: Ms.Christine)
Since I began my seminars in Germany this year, I noted a smaller audience than last year, and wondered if this was some kind of sign indicating that this country is ready for the next step. However, in Hanover, I was pleasantly surprised to find myself speaking to six hundred attendees at my seminar. I very much believe that this is all because of Ms. Christine’s hard work.
Ms. Christine suggested a marvelous idea for next year, that I should conduct a joint seminar with Dr. Higa, who is renowned for his work in EM technology. I have been thinking about the same idea, so I eagerly agreed with her proposal. As a matter of fact, I plan to contact Dr. Higa as soon as I return to Japan. Ms. Christine believes that a tour of speakers including Dr. Higa, with his knowledge of EM, and myself, with my knowledge of Hado, would be very well-received. (Three of Dr. Higa’s books have been translated and published in Germany.) She asserted that this idea has support among the hosts of the seminar in Hamburg, Moscow, Nurnberg, Munchen, and Vienna.
If this were to happen, I knew it right away that I would invite my friend, Ms. Shizuko Ouwehand, to provide interpretation. Shizuko has lived in Europe, mainly in the Netherlands for many years, and was married to the late Professor Ouwehand of Leiden University. She is Japanese, originally from Kameyama City in Kyoto, where the Oomoto religion is based, and was nurtured by Mr. Deguchi. I have known her through a special bond.
When my book Messages from Water was published in June of 1999, she came to visit my office the next month, and bought seventy-seven copies. Now that I think back on it, when she heard of “Messages from Water,” she bought all of the books that she could afford and gave away all seventy-seven books to her friends across Europe. As a result of the seeds she planted, I was able to conduct my first seminar in Switzerland in March of the following year with her assistance and interpretation, which began my worldwide seminar tours.
Prior to her efforts on my behalf, she was the first to introduce Dr. Higa’s work on EM technology in Europe. I am sure the prospect of having a joint tour with Dr. Higa would make her very happy. If events turn out as hoped, Dr. Higa, myself, and our wives will tour the European continent with Ms. Shizuko Ouwehand’s providing her interpretation. I can’t imagine a more splendid and happy occasion for everyone.

■ Nov.10,2003 Hamburg Seminar

Hamburg is a port town in north Germany. This is my fourth visit here. We seem to have a good chemistry. Whenever I was in Hamburg, the seminars were all well attended. The first seminar was held at the auditorium of the University of Hamburg with the audience of 700 people. The second one was at the gymnasium of Stainer School with 700 people. And the last one we had was also held at this historical music hall with 600 cheerful participants.
This time we had 300 entries. It was a half of last time. However, they were such exquisite people. Mr. Jurgen, the organizer of this seminar, told me that he was very impressed with the quality of people gathered today. I always ask the participants if they had attended one of my previous seminars. But, mostly they say that they are new to my seminar. In this city, there is always a new generation of people interested in this type of subjects. Mr. Jurgen runs a specialty book shore of spirituality books and is growing the readers of my books one after another.
Another news for a day is the experience of homeopathic remedy. I could not have shaken off the cold I caught when I was in Tohoku, a northeast part of Japan, for a seminar in September. I might have a problem either with my lung or respiratory system and could not stop coughing. It was getting worse and worse. I was a bit concerned and contacted Dr. Heidi, a female doctor I had known for a long time. She kindly came to the hotel I was staying and treated me.
She brought a thick notebook computer and started taking my history. Inside the computer was an encyclopedia holding data equivalent to 150 volumes of books. There must be information carried over from her mentor and accumulated over generations. Going through the detailed interview about my history, dream, and character, I knew what this was all about. It did not take long to remember that this situation was so resembled to Hado therapy I was doing using MRA machine. My inspiration totally made sense. MRA machine was originally developed for homeopathy treatment.
Well, I am so interested in the outcome.

■ Nov.9,2003 Bonn Seminar

Bonn was the capitol of West Germany when Germany was partitioned into a West Germany and an East Germany. It is a mid-sized city with population of about 400,000 people, and located about 3-hour train ride north of Freiburg. (Left picture:in front of Beethoven's Birthplace)
My host, Mr. Jorg Schweitzer, who had driven from Freiburg the day before, waited for me at the train station.
Let me introduce you to Jorg. He is a 48-years-old, divorced man with two adult children. When my photo collection was published, he was the first German who contacted my daughter in Netherlands, and he drove eight hours to attend my first seminar in Germany, which was held at a remote countryside near Schututtgart. Since then, he has attended all of my seminars held in Germany, like an ardent devotee.
He leads a very spiritual life, very much isolated from the secular world or regular jobs. However, when he first encountered my photo collection, he knew that this was what he was seeking, and he purchased my books from my daughter and started selling them all over Germany. Finally, his passion and job were in complete harmony and single-handedly sold more than three hundred copies of my books.
He now becomes a host to my seminars, driving along everywhere I travel in Germany and is in charge of selling my products and books. His name, Jorg Schweitzer, reminds me of the illustrious Dr. Schweitzer. I told him so, and he agreed and gave me an interesting reply. "Yes, it does have a favorable image in Germany also, but the original meaning of 'schweitz' is 'to milk a cow', so 'schweitzer' means a 'man who milks cows", and finally, 'jorg' means a farmer." (Right picture: Jorg)
There were some very memorable moments at today's seminar at the Steiner School, in which two hundred attendants were present. At the Question and Answer session, there was an elderly lady raising her hand, who told me a story with the intensity of an enthusiast.
"Thank you for the most moving story today. I have a favor, or rather wish for you. German has not had a great leader for a long time, and still doesn't. So, please be our country's leader." After the seminar, she attended book signing, reluctantly showing her ticket stub, and said to me, "I don’t have money, so I can’t buy your book. Would you please sign on the back of my ticket?" I became very emotional, barely managing to control the tone of my voice, as I cry more easily these days. I said to her, "Of course, of course." and I kept talking to her, "How old are you now?" She said, "I am going to be 84 years-old this coming November 18th." I said, "Really? You will be 84 years old on November 18th! Our 35th wedding anniversary is this coming November 16th." She said she was very happy for us.
When I think back about this incident, I wonder how life had treated her. What she told me in front of all the audiences made me think that she must have gone through very complicated times. Someday I would like to interview her and ask questions about her life, her parents, her siblings, her husband and her children. She was only 26-years-old when the Second World War ended, and I could easily imagine her life as extraordinary.

■ Nov.7,2003 Freiburg Seminar

Today was the first day of this seminar tour. We had a seminar in the city of Freiburg, an hour drive from Basel. Freiburg is known as the first city, which declared the status of environmental city. Starting late-eighties, Black forests, adjacent to the city, have begun to die because of acid rain and CO2 problems. Naturally, the city became the first one to adapt the light-and-park system and other environmental measures. Now, the city is a destination of field trips for lawmakers from environmentally challenged cities worldwide.
So, I was interested in going for a stroll in downtown Freiburg. However, the Hotel Merucure, the hotel the organizer booked for us, was on a hillside, a little far away from the center of the city. The hotel with a magnificent view stood on wooded hill and autumn color of leaves was at its peak. So, we decided to pass on a stroll in downtown and stayed in the neighborhood to enjoy scenery. Commanding a panoramic view of downtown Freiburg from the porch of the hotel room, we enjoyed the beauty of sunset. Here again, autumn leaves are entertaining visitors.
The seminar was held at the gymnasium of an elementary school on the outskirts of the town. My first impression was "how could people come to a seminar held at such a hard-to-find place far from town". However, 120 people managed to show up to the seminar started at 8:00 p.m. At the seminar, I was impressed with Ms. Mori, a foreign student from Japan and a volunteer interpreter for the seminar. She was from Fukuyama City in Hiroshima Prefecture. She came to Freiburg 9 years ago and fell in love with the city. Ever since, She has stayed in school and now at the last stage of doctorial program majoring in art history.
From my prior experiences, I was very concerned when I was told that a Japanese student would be the interpreter of the seminar. In most cases, student interpreters could not keep up and ended up falling apart during seminars. However, Ms. Mori was different. We have worked with a number of interpreters including professionals and, her performance ranked among the top. I hope that we could work together in other occasion in future.
The seminar was followed by a Q and A session. Her handling of the session was very tactful and I could answer questions in a relaxed manner. One of the participants asked, "Why scientists have never thought about a simple thing even ordinary people might have thought of, like freezing water and taking a picture of its crystal?" I answered, "Well, if you were scientists, you would not think of such things. I am not a scientist, and therefore, still have the curiosity of innocent child. It may be a reason why I could think of this." My response was followed by an eruption in cheers and applause from the audience. The seminar was completed in delightful atmosphere.

Basel is a town in Switzerland at its northern border with Germany and France. It is an important point for commerce and transportation. I have been here to give a lecture twice before. Today's venue was the same as two years ago, a lecture theater at Basel University. It was a memorable place for me, since it was where I first met Mr. Saito of Sunmark Publishing, Inc. He followed me afterwards for about ten days and gathered materials, which later became the great book (I won’t be modest), Water Knows the Answers.
Such memories came back to me, as I enjoyed speaking before 250 people (seating capacity was 280). I had about the same attendance two years ago. I was curious and asked how many attended my last lecture. Only three raised their hands. I see. Well, I can take it in two ways. One is that I have gained more readers. The other is that people think "once is enough" (and will not return for more). I had mixed feelings.
Basel is also known for having giant pharmaceutical companies like Novartis (Ciba-Geigy) and Roche. I was well aware of that fact when I prepared my lecture and put emphasis on vibrational medicine. I said that the time has come for pharmaceuticals to become actively involved in this kind of medicine. I also talked about music therapy and healing CDs. I asked the audience to spread the word to people in the pharmaceutical business and invite them to join us. We will see. I hope my message will lead to some kind of action.
The organizer of this Basel seminar is a doctor of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Brown. I have not felt well since the end of September and he offered to give me a treatment. The hour and a half passed so quickly. It felt really good. His treatment was directed to the patient's total relaxation. I felt it was indeed a therapy of love and thanks.
Basel is at the height of the fall foliage. Enjoy the beautiful colors from a park in front of my hotel.

■ Nov.4,2003 Seminar in Geneva

I wondered why I was invited to this seminar and even afterward, I could not figure out why. My seminar was held at the international conference hall in Geneva at eight o’clock. There were approximately 150 participants (as seen on the picture on the right), who represented a range of nationalities and occupations with a simultaneous translation in French. Mainly they were not interested in spirituality, but were interested in the topic of water, and they seemed to encompass many divergent fields. Since they were unable to provide me with a Japanese interpreter, I needed to conduct the seminar in my poor English. It is gratifying for me to note that my poor English improves with each seminar. The seminar ended with the audience applauding enthusiastically. Even the Question and Answer session went well beyond the allocated time.
Originally, former Soviet President Gorbachev was to speak at this conference, however at the last minute he was unable to attend, and a substitute was sent in his place. When I was invited, the main reason I traveled all the way to Geneva was to meet Mr. Gorbachev. However, in Geneva, the only language spoken is French, and all the materials were written in French, and even now, it was not especially clear to me the exact purpose of the conference.
As far as the participants go, they seem to represent the educated elite, which could be helpful for me in the future. Many men and women found me and came to greet me. It seems I became a well-known figure among these speakers next to Mr. Gorbachev.
One of the people I met was Ms. Andrea who was from World Economic Forum, an international organization, functioning like a chamber of commerce, whose base is in Switzerland. She showed me to the office and said that several international conferences have been held on the topic of water issues recently, and she indicated that she wanted my perspective on the topic of water crystallization. We decided to link to each other’s web sites and to continue to correspond. The office that overlooks Lake Leman (picture below) is very elegant and luxurious, as one would expect Geneva of the host of many international conferences, and I felt very honored to participate as a guest speaker.

Today is Culture Day(Bunka no Hi) in Japan. Culture, "Bunka" is written as "文", sentence, and "化", change into. The first definition appears in Kojien dictionary for a word "Bunka" is 'to cultivate people with literate virtues'. Literate virtues mean the virtue to cultivate people through learning and gain the respect of people. Therefore the primary meaning of culture "Bunka" in Japanese should be the virtue gained and nurtured through learning.
By contrast, it is CULTURE in English. This word is derived from Latin and its original meaning is "to cultivate, incubate ". Therefore as long as this interpretation is correct, the concept of culture in the West is experiential and in the East it is philosophical.
In the meanwhile, on this Culture Day, far from Munich Germany I would like to introduce my newest book. Yesterday actually Ms. Toyoshima of Tokuma Shoten Publishing Co., Ltd. sent me two sample copies of the book as they finally completed the book which had been work in process. The title of the book is The Image of Love Given by Waterand I had been working on it as an important book to determine whether I would devote myself in writing for the rest of my life or I would continue to live as it is.
I wrote under the new concept on the theme of human beings and the universe. I wrote in a straightforward manner why love and thanks are important. It is a proposal that we human beings review every matter from a fundamental point of view by reflecting the original intention. I received a thumbs-up, the official go-ahead from my wife, my usual, first reader and critic of my book, so I have been through with the first screening. The book I hear has already been out in the book stores in Japan and I dearly ask for your true assessment.

■ Nov.1,2003 First Recording

It was Mr. Konrad, President of KOHA Verlag GmbH, who came to see me at the Munich Airport the day before yesterday. KOHA Verlag GmbH is the publisher of my Water Tells Story, Messages from Water, and Water Knows the Answers in Germany, Swiss, and Austria. It is the oldest publisher that I have been with and the closest one as well. KOHA has just published Dr. Nobuo Shinya's book as I introduced in this column before.
Mr. Konrad, 10 years junior to me in real life, is taking care of me as if he is a big brother. He advises me on health, business, and all other things. He is one of Germans that I trust the most. He also is an event producer, and once was a music promoter. He has a network of event promoters in every corner in Germany. This is one of the reasons that I could have had seminers all over in Germany. This time, I will be touring the cities of Freiburg, Bonn, Hamburg, Hanover, and Augsburg.
Teamed with Mr. Andrea Maqria Brunnmeier, a musician, Mr. Konrad set up a wonderful project. For the three days, the day I arrived at Munich, yesterday and today, I was shucked in Mr. Brunnmeier's studio and engaged in recording under his produce. Today was a day the recording was finally completed.
When we say recording, we are not talking about singing. I thought aloud my thoughts on water in Japanese. Then I translated it into English and talked in English. It was what I did on the first day. By the second day, the comments I made on the first day had been already sorted out to a manuscript. I did narration based on the manuscript both in Japanese and English. I sung one song, which was Sakura (cherry blossom). I sung in a capella. Requested to recite a sutra, I did Namumyo Horengeikyo. It was my first experience but I had a very refreshed feeling. I was pleased with its vibration effect.
Finally on the third day, I was amazed and impressed with the stride of the music producer. They had prepared three English poems. All I did was read these verses line by line and translate them into Japanese. I was confident in my voice and wanted to try disc jockey once in my heart. So, I could manage it without NG.
Along with my narration, Mr.Brunnmeier was improvising impromptu filled with the sprits of wate. The recording will be released by March next year in European Market. Another big excitement is waiting for me.
Let me share with you one of the English poems.
